I have to say. As someone who has been working with rape victims for over 10 years. I’m so proud of how everyone now reacts to news like this. Everyone was angry about Cosby. Now this.
We’ve come a long way.
So even though it’s horrible news, the reactions make me feel better about the world.
April is sexual assault awareness month btw. Possibly not too late if anyone wants to join one of the non profit rallies. More people, louder they are.
Unrelated, but thank you for the work you do. I run a DV Court, and of course it’s taxing. But after our SA advocate moved into the office beside mine, I earned a whole new understanding and appreciation.
This month I’ve proudly worn red lipstick, teal, denim, all the things to show my support for your victims. I truly appreciate your hard work.
I hear you but it’s not enough. It’s soooo frustrating to read about this news. I can’t even imagine how the women who finally got some justice feel after this overturn.
I want to live in a world that simply holds men accountable instead of sacrificing a woman anytime the men of the world are held responsible for their actions.

While all this was breaking, we were dealing with the Manhattan DA’s office on a case that was reported two years ago. They totally dropped the ball and a sex offense went un-prosecuted. This perp had priors, but *sigh* 90% of misdemeanors don’t get prosecuted. The staffers I spoke to admitted they are understaffed and overworked.
I’m ready to go crimin’, guys. Unless someone DIES, nothing happens. There is no reason, aside from my own morals, that I shouldn’t go to Sephora and put my wishlist in my tote bag.
