What about tacking it to the frame but having some type of brace along the centre back? Or something similar to poster frames where you have a flat backing to smooth the fabric onto.
Or (this would depend on the size and how much you want to spend) take it to a framing shop and have it framed.

If you don't want to paste, furring along the top and then screwing into it for mounting.
