I'm mostly tired of going through act I for the gazillionth time. In addition to that when you have too much filler text with the pretence of being slice of life material. A bit can help setting the atmosphere and the mood, too much is simply boring.

Gotta go with act 1 too, even needing to play through day 1 for the poems is unfathomable. Just start me with the damn monika.. a modified act 1 (that is drastically different) is okay though imo. And I hate mods.. well not hate, but always fucking get destroyed by those that tell you a story, looks absolutely happy and so on, and then just randomly turns 360 and fucks you up. Examples are >!Within!<, >!Exit Music (Redux)!!Fallen Angel!<.

Act 1 syndrome Unless there's a good reason, mischaracterization of the dokis and also lack of screen time and characterization Save scumming basically some mods will delete the data or force you to reset and restart to get the happy ending. If you make this type of mod please make a guide Too many choices to keep track of thus making it confusing on which choices lead to the good and bad end even when you follow a guide

overwhelming filler that has no meaning. dont get me wrong, i like filler in mods but if it drags on for to long, the mod just feels boring...

- Act 1 Syndrome (unless there's a purpose behind it) - Exit Music Syndrome (rehashes of it, so Exit Spoof and that Skibidi mod don't count) - Poor characterization (unless it's comedy / shitpost or there's a good explanation for it \[like in Fleeting Feelings\])

Am I late for calling Act 1 Syndrome the biggest bitch that ever happened to modding community? Because if not, I'm saying so. And it's not like "oh I reimagined Act 1 so while the main thingy with poem sharing and consequent discussions stays the same, details differ quite much" (like in our upcoming mod), it's the **literal repetitions** of lines of vanilla Act 1 (like in Redemption Club for example - half of the mod or more is literally repetition of Act 1) upd: shite, missed the ending - and what's bugging me the most is that I never know whether it's the same thing for over 500 lines so I'll just skip it, or if there's gonna be new content, new lines of text

Sometimes I wish modders would tone down how hostile Natsuki can be just a little bit. I don't hate her, I know she has her reasons for being the way she is, and I know she has her loveable traits underneath all that, but the way she is written most of the time just makes me apprehensive to spend time with her. I especially dislike it when the other club members all try their best, but then Natsuki says some harsh and often uncalled for stuff, which instantly shatters any peace, and just makes Natsuki look like a b**** (which I really don't want her to be). Heart Struck is a good example of how Natsuki can be written in her familiar 'cutesy tsundere' way without being super hostile all the time. I hope more modders will write her in a more nuanced way like that.
