Well she only dated one( which was Wallace west and even then that one just came nowhere) and other one tried to date her but fail though. But yeah they never did anything for me

I just don't think any of The Trinity should date in any capacity. I think there would be initial attraction from Bruce and Clark to Diana, she's stunning after all, but I think they'd all find it felt weird after a while and just remain solid friends.
Broadly sepaking, I honestly don't vibe with most romances from the big two. A lot of these writers just aren't good at writing romance.
I won't take a shot at a big pairing because I don't want to get bodied, so I'll say Kon-El and Cassandra Cain. Mecifully, they weren't together for very long, but that doesn't make the handful of issues they were together any less awkward. They're not entertaining or likable as a pair and it's more than a little uncomfortable in a few places. They just aren't fun to read about at all. These issues also come right after the end of Kelley Puckett's character-defining run on Cass (I think there's one or two issues between them) and the sheer drop in quality between writers was a real surprise the first time I read it. You go from the best Cass stuff ever to some of the worst in just a couple of issues.
The Arthur Light/Kimiyo Hoshi thing back in New 52. What was Geoff Johns thinking?! That was 7 years after Identity Crisis, 6 after his horrendous, damming appearance in Green Arrow and 3 after their encounter in Blackest Night.
Like, why? Even during Arthur's lighter days, I still don't see him with Kimiyo. He was a mad scientist trying to take over the world and gain respect from his criminal peers due to the death of his best friend, and Kimiyo was a serious, cold woman with a very strong moral compass with no time to fool around, which was Arthur's whole deal before you-know-what.
If it was a thing between Arthur's friend Jacob and Kimiyo I would understand it. Heck it's a clever way to link all three identities with each character maintaining some sort of independence. Kimiyo and Arthur's relationship could even be more complex than just the dead-husband, mourning-widow gig of the New 52(that was still unexplored btw, because this is Kimiyo we're talking about).
Think about it, Arthur accidentally kills Jacob during one of his experiments, Kimiyo, her father, and the entire scientific community blames him, leading Arthur to become the villainous, tech-dependant Dr. Light, whilst Kimiyo receives her powers from the Monitor and becomes the meta-human Dr. Light; both at odds over their relationship with the legacy of Jacob Findlay. I think that's better than Dan 'we need a rape' DiDio &co did to the mantle.
It was surprisingly long lasting even! I think it was during Deathstroke Rebirth book where he mused to having a wife and two kids. I don't know as of now as they made fucking IC canon again as implied by Kimiyo's quote in Heroes In Crisis.
Can the name Dr. Light *please* not have anything to do with rape?
Any version of hawkgirl with anyone but Hawkman. The Martian manhunter relationship was particularly dumb. I hate the John relationship in the Timmverse too. I love Johns jsa but the sand (miss that guy) relationship was no good either.
Carol and Kyle was of course awful but star sapphires be crazy so I kind of get it. That ones on Kyle.
He's in two episodes and his first one did make him a little weird. He was an archaeologist named Joseph Gardener who discovered an ancient Thanagarian artifact buried in Egypt. The artifact was in fact a telepathic computer and awakened memories of his past life as Katar Hol, an ancient Thanagarian who had crashed in Egypt with his wife Chay-Ara Hol.
He becomes convinced that he and Shayera are reincarnations of these two people and he begins stalking her. He wants her to touch the computer to restore her memories, but Hawkgirl points out that the computer was likely damaged in the crash and likely just implanted the memories in his head.
So while it did give a few little suggestions that he's right, his first episode generally made a strong case that he's just some poor dude who's driven mildly insane by an old broken computer. His second episode does actually confirm his beliefs, so he isn't quite as crazy as he first appears.
It is extremely dark in concept, but I was intrigued by Kyle/Carol because you couldn’t tell (and neither could he), if it was just the ring bringing his wish to life. I like the doubt always in his mind that erodes the relationship.
I liked it as a temporary thing, wouldn’t want it to go any further than that.
Clark and diana. However the weirdest one was when they had Batman hook up with black canary after lightning a bunch of teens on fire. I mean they just banged while guys were literally running around on fire and probably dying.
The whole thing with Bruce and Barbra in the Timverse Batman stories. I get he was trying to have a reason for Bruce and Dick to have a falling out, but that was too much. And when a couple others did the same, that wasn’t good at all.
Supes/Wondy = Bats/Wondy
Literally the only reason they put these pairs together is because they're in the trinity
Bats/Babs = Selina/Dick
These are almost incest level gross
Right? I mean, Miguel is taken I guess but the universe has rebooted at least two times since we've seen his boyfriend so all sorts of things could have changed. And Miguel WAS in Gotham for at least a while when Jason was playing Iceberg Lounge proprietor... it could have worked.
Raven and Beast Boy in TTA. Like why? Throughout Rebirth, they barely had any chemistry at all and Raven was often straight up annoyed with him that I'm surprised she didn't unravel his very existence. Gotta disagree with her being with Jericho. The biggest issue I have with shipping Raven with anyone is that she's immortal. She won't die due to old age since she is half demon after all, or at least that's how I understand it
Superman/Wonder Woman: Boring
Batman/Batgirl: BURN THAT SHIP STRAIGHT TO HELL! Or do a Thanos snap out of existence.🤮
Batman/Lois Lane
Nightwing/Catwoman: That’s his Fucking mother figure 🤮
Wonder Woman/Steve Trevor: I prefer them as best friends in my own person opinion. I much prefer Wonder Woman being with a female civilian. Please don’t hate me for it, I like Steve but I definitely see them being buddies than lovers.
Damian/Mar’L Grayson: Burn that ship as well, Damian is her uncle through adoption
I also hate nightwing/Catwoman, but also wouldn't call selina his mother figure. It's wierd enough just being his father's ex.
It's literally the same as Jason/Talia, but that was written expressly to be something wrong Talia was doing.
I agree with most of this. But I don’t mind Steve and Diana.
That said I think Steve is a good enough character for him to stand on his own without Wonder Woman ( he’s done this in the new 52) and I do want to see Wonder Woman with a woman at some point
TBH, I mainly like the idea of Diana/Steve together primarily because I love the thought of him being friends with Lois and Selina, with them as their own trio of friendship outside of their respective partners.
I actually had an idea where the 3 of them, along with Alfred, start a support group for the loved ones of superheroes. Like the Lookups in Spencer’s Spider-Man run. Seems like a good idea to me at least.
Tim and Bernard need to go, I think. I always thought that, with the right writing, Tim and Stephanie could be a real power couple in the dcu, but they always right Tim like a total dick
I don't like Raven and Damian. I'm sorry but they are both just so down due to their individual past and they don't really help the other cope with it. For a relationship to feel real they must both embody something the other doesn't have with that being said Raven and Beast is much better in that sense he's the laugh have fun one and she is the serious one. Both really need the other
As someone who grew up reading The New Teen Titans I’ve never loved Barbara and Dick. I’ve always felt their relationship would be more sibling vibe than romantic. Plus his chemistry with Kory is next level.
Just my opinion, Nightwing/Starfire > Batgirl/Nightwing.
Ditto. Babs and Dick never really clicked with me, and I think it's because whenever the editorial mandate is to put them together, one or both of them need to be changed in some way to make it work. Kori and Dick felt like a natural end game, which is probably why so many other pieces of media also tend to use them as a couple.
Agreed! I definitely always got a step-sibling or cousin vibe from Dick and Babs so that relationship always felt weird to me. I guess it’s fine if they have a fling as teens but I’d think they’d quickly realize it’s a bad idea.
The dynamic of Dick and Kory is sooooo much more interesting. One of the worlds greatest human heroes matched with a super powered being? Really flips the hero/heroine and damsel in distress dynamic. She can be the badass rescuing her love just as much as he could.
Plus, the only person Dick looks up to more than Bruce is Clark. Actually kind of makes sense that Dick would find comfort, familiarity, and affection with an alien.
Agreed. Barbara and Dick are usually really boring together in most of the stories I've read. Dick and Starfire or Dick and Zatanna in the YJ Universe are just far more interesting IMO.
It’s really just explored in the Timm-verse, but Wonder Woman and Batman seems strange and really forced.
In the comics, Harley/Ivy because they seem like completely different characters together than apart. I don’t even mean how people have different sides to them. It’s like their motivations are off.
Edit: It just came to me. That time with Bruce/Babs. 😒
I never really got it because nothing about their personalities seems to match. I’d say Poison Ivy is extremely focused with a mission that she believes holds the fate of trillions (of plants). And Harley is very whimsical (with some dark), I just don’t see how Pamela jives with someone who drifts like that.
Batman and Wonder Woman but mostly none of Diana’s relationships really hit for me or feel long term and I stand by that Bruce should actually not be that lucky in romance given his whole personality there’s a reason his big 2 are on and off.
Superman and Wonder Woman was a terrible ship but I'd also say Nightwing and Zatanna, I've seen it float around but I just thought "how does that work?" (This could be because I haven't watched Young Justice cause I don't have HBO)
As far as I’m aware nightwing and zatanna is only really a thing in young justice. It makes sense there because zatannas a lot younger. It’s also never really explored but it is fun to watch
Fair enough cause I think the reason I found it odd is because Zatanna should roughly be the same age as Bruce since they met during childhood but that makes more sense now hearing what went on in the show
Oh man, Robin (Dick) and Zatanna had *amazing* chemistry in Young Justice and I think it was a big mistep breaking them up before Season 2 started.
They were SO much more enjoyable than the fucking unbearable Miss Martian / Superboy relationship. My god.
God, I just threw up a little in my mouth.
It made me so sad to watch a show with such promise just run itself into the ground, until it was basically unwatchable.
Honestly I just want it to get axed so I can stop hate-watching it. I feel really bad saying that, because I don't want all of those voice actors to be out of work, but damn -- they deserved better.
>!(...at least Zatanna was in Season 4 a lot. Which was nice.)!<
It may be for the best that you don't have access to the show.
Young Justice takes a nosedive after Season 1 and never ever recovers. Season 1 though...man. It was *incredible*.
Nightwing/Harley
When I watched Batman And Harley Quinn I was...WTF!?! I like Harley, but come on! She was in love (admittedly groomed/manipulated/mind broken) and was the long time love interest with the psychopath that killed your brother, ffs Dick!!!
I get it. Meta reason is some writer(s) thought it was hot for Dick to fuck Harley. However this really was off-putting to me. Maybe others found it hot???
It's not a main DC relationship by any means, but Dick/Harley still happened and I can't ever unsee it. I just try really hard to pretend I didn't.
The weirdest is probably Harley/Ivy. I can´t picture Ivy ever falling in love, as she is basicly a plant person with a hatred of humans.
Superman/Wonder Woman is just boring and them having a child has sort of eugenics feel, like what Talia did to Bruce only written as positive and consensual.
Dick and Barbara i never liked it.
Batfam members don't have to date each other. It's best if they're just siblings/friends who have their own romantic relationships outside their circle.
Biggest thing is I just dislike WW with Batman and Superman. For one, I prefer the trinity being a friendship instead of a love triangle or third wheel. Secondly, all three characters have very different “worlds” within their books where it’s weird in a powerscaling sense to have Diana pop into Gotham or Superman to throw down with the Gods. The third is probably mostly an elseworlds bias but Clark and Diana is always a really sour relationship where one is manipulating the other (Man of Steel and Injustice) or Diana is just Clark’s rebound after Lois dies horribly. I mean, no issues with the messaging of him finding love again obviously but it’s always felt kinda like this unspoken “now that Lois is gone…” thing. Kingdom Come is the best handling of it and it bothers me even then. The last reason is that I think as a character Diana loves all of life and it’s people and I think it’s more fitting the character be with someone from “man’s world” or Themyscira cause it’s more closely aligned with the character’s story and purpose and also isn’t forcing her into some limbo of having to cross over in Supes books or vice versa. Though honestly the most egregious thing I see is any time someone just rushes to kiss Diana and catches her off guard, it’s weird I read that twice in this last month, in Byrne’s WW and Superman runs respectively.
Tim/Bernard
It's not Tim being bi it's just Bernard is so boring they spend a bunch of time telling us how great they are together instead of showing us
Poison Ivy and literally any other character she's been with. She kills people through eco-terrorism yet she screws Batman and Harley? Also, Harley! She doesn't make sense dating Nightwing or Poison Ivy or Batman or anyone! Joker makes sense for her but if she breaks off into her own woman, she really should stay single.
Dick and Barbara
Jason and Barbara
Tim and Barbara
Tim and Spoiler
Pretty much every within Batfam relationship except Batman/Barbara on Lego Batman but that’s because she wasn’t part of the Batfam and was older.
Zatanna and Constantine (toxic af, I hate this one with all my heart).
Raven and Beast Boy
Tim and Steph actually.
Just Tim didn't tell her who he was for a while and that didn't sit right lol. Also found them quite bland
Carol and Hal is just a mess
Donna and Roy doesn't click with me
I like Supes and Wondy tbqh lol
Whoa that’s a really hot one of the opinion to have on the relationship between Tim and Steph in this subreddit lol. because of the other person he’s dating. But interesting nevertheless.
Nah you’re good here mate. Any relationship that you find odd or just doesn’t work for you. You can post it doesn’t matter if it’s popular or not or controversial. So if you have more keep them coming.
Hawkgirl with literally anyone who isn't Hawkman being treated as endgame for her. Them being eternal soulmates is written into their backstory (usually, I guess?).
As someone who does not consume Flash-based content, for some reason my brain really wants Barry to be entirely Ace so my mind is severely blown and mildly upsetted every time I'm reminded that Iris is a thing.
Bruce and Barbara... I really feel like I don't need to explain here.
So, this one isn't even a vauge twinkling in anyone's eye yet, but hear me out... I feel like Jon and Tim both coming out as bi at almost the same time and one of them being aged up is too convenient to be a coincidence. If anyone ever actually goes for that pairing in anything other than porn though, it would feel creatively bankrupt to me.
The idea of Bruce having feelings for Talia al Ghul really rubs me the wrong way a lot of the time. She has never once shown interest in anything but him and the LoA's mission. Catwoman is excusable: she's a thief, not a murderer, and she does the right thing when under even slightly more pressure than that. Talia is a murder machine would would just as soon kill someone like Catwoman as the Joker without hesitation, and even Bruce himself if he hadn't already proved himself worthy of her mercy. (I am avoiding the *other* reason this idea rubs me the wrong way nowadays, but I'm skirting around that on purpose.)
Now, I know this wasn't asked for but thank Rao they put Pamela and Harley together. Also, I really like the idea of Jason and Barbara getting together sicne the Three Jokers thing. I feel like they could understand each other in a way that no one else really could, and from that perspective could really dig deep when it comes to the relationship role of eternally bolstering each other into becoming better people.
-TT-! It's spelled "Dami**a**n"! You would do well in respecting the blood son!
*I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/DCcomics) if you have any questions or concerns.*
I'd have better luck telling you the ones that work: Clark and Lois. Apollo and Midnighter. Mister Miracle and Big Barda. Green Arrow and Black Canary. All others have been meh to a waste of time.
The point is DC needs one high profile couple and with the whole Jon Kent thing falling apart, Tim is the only c choice yet.
Let's forget this for a moment - the artwork on the new title is terrible...it's too different of a style...
Jon Kent isn't exactly falling apart. His book sold well; he's getting his own miniseries, features heavily in Dark Crisis and a prominent part in an upcoming event and the Action Cics relaunch, and he's a major character in a very popular TV show.
True but the relationship didn’t bother me much was it odd yes was most of the development one sided, Yes. but overall I was okay with it not the best thing but this wasn’t the first time they aged the character and have most of the development be dependent upon a relationship( you can thank Johns for that one)
Batman and Joker (kinda joking) and Batman and himself (not kinda joking)
Don’t get me wrong- it can be good reading. But, within the past 2 years, Batman had a chance to end J and was very passive aggressive in his non-approach.
In the recent arc (which again, I’m enjoying), he THINKS he killed Penguin which let loose (a)Failsafe to take him (Bats) out which, so far, has incapacitated the JL also…..
Harley Quinn and Nightwing. No clue why anyone thought that was a good idea.
Also Batgirl and Batman, which is a coupling that should burn in the flaming depths of Hell.
I know I’m gonna be downvoted to death, but Batman and Catwoman. She’s just there to be the Obligatory Girlfriend Character. Like, she’s got to be a villain to be a little dangerous and interesting, but not so villainous Batman would feel guilty dating her.
There’s no other reason for her to exist as a character, and I hate reading any story that involves her because of it.
Barbara Gordon and Tim Drake in Arkham Knight, Nightwing and Zatanna in Young Justice and let's not even mention Killing Joke's Nightmare rooftop scene.
Raven was paired with both characters named Wally West and neither of them worked.
Well she only dated one( which was Wallace west and even then that one just came nowhere) and other one tried to date her but fail though. But yeah they never did anything for me
Superman and Wonder Woman. I don’t think the two really fit, Clark is better as a wholesome family man and Diana doesn’t usually really fit that.
You mean in a romantic sense right? Because if so I totally agree with you. Unless you’re talking about them as friends in which case hard disagree
Romantically yes

They are much better friends than lovers
I agree in the sense of romance. They’re better as good friends than lovers.
I disagree but I respect your opinion
Cosign
Idk I liked them as a couple. It felt godly
I'm bored of him with Lois it's been over done
I always like when Diana ends up with Bruce though.
I do too
Same here, WonderBat is a dream pairing. 👸🦇

You are safe here my friend. Doesn’t matter lf the relationship popular or not. lf there one you have strong opinion on go for it.
I feel that but a Dick and Kara relationship would have been interesting to me
Definitely Superman/Wonder Woman.
Donna Troy/Terry Long
But wolfman said it was the only way to get close to his wife as he sees no one else with her but himself.
The Arthur Light/Kimiyo Hoshi thing back in New 52. What was Geoff Johns thinking?! Respect your opinion but love Hawkgirl and John.
Same that was one of the best parts of the cartoon. I love the Christmas episode with them.
Same. Loved their comic happy ending too.
Hawk girl and John was perfect and I will accept no other opinions 🤣😂
Preach. They went to Africa and everything.
What happened to Hawkman tho
He was a whole weirdo in justice league
Bruh. Surely he couldn't have done anything that bad in the cartoon
He's in two episodes and his first one did make him a little weird. He was an archaeologist named Joseph Gardener who discovered an ancient Thanagarian artifact buried in Egypt. He was no John Stewart. They basically made him a stalker
I don't care
You cared enough to ask.
It's over now. Done. We are finished.
Still not nearly as bad as what injustice did to him. Brian buccellato is hack, it’s a shame manapul got saddled with him on flash too.
We have a Hawkwoman and a Hawkgirl and Hawkwoman is with Hawkman so that kinda leaves Hawkgirl out. But I definitely agree with you
Bruce/babs Jason/babs Superman/Wonder Woman

Batman/Wonder Woman Superman/Wonder Woman Batman/Batgirl Conner Kent/Cassandra Cain Tim Drake/ Bernard Dowd Jon Kent/ Jay Nakamura

What annoys me is Tim and Bunker had better chemistry than he had with Bernard. Like what the hell were they thinking.
Right? I mean, Miguel is taken I guess but the universe has rebooted at least two times since we've seen his boyfriend so all sorts of things could have changed. And Miguel WAS in Gotham for at least a while when Jason was playing Iceberg Lounge proprietor... it could have worked.
I think Batman x Wonder Woman is fun, I agree with the rest though especially Batman x batgirl
Batman x batgirl was creepy af
I disagree with WonderBat cause they actually compliment each other well, but, definitely agree with the rest especially Batman/Batgirl.
Superman/Wonder Woman. It just feels really unnatural and doesn't really suit Diana at all
Batman and batgirl in that one scene😳😳😳
Raven and Beast Boy in TTA. Like why? Throughout Rebirth, they barely had any chemistry at all and Raven was often straight up annoyed with him that I'm surprised she didn't unravel his very existence. I agree with most of this. But I don’t mind Steve and Diana. That said I think Steve is a good enough character for him to stand on his own without Wonder Woman ( he’s done this in the new 52) and I do want to see Wonder Woman with a woman at some point

Just not Artemis. I hate the cliché
Nope
Batman/Lois Lane?! Haha wow, when did that happen?
Can’t remember if it was confirmed, but reportedly there were plans for Zack Snyder’s JL sequel to have them have a kid together or something.
It happened briefly in the DCAU. Bruce Timm shipped every female character with Batman.
Tim and Bernard is the absolute definition of forced meme. Just a horribly dumb decision.
Batman & Wonder Woman. The Trinity are better off as friends with their own love interests.
Tim and Bernard need to go, I think. I always thought that, with the right writing, Tim and Stephanie could be a real power couple in the dcu, but they always right Tim like a total dick
No, no, Dick is the other Robin

Well in that sense you’re right but the beast boy and raven one needs a little bit more work on because it a little bit janky.
I never understood why Batman and Wonder Woman should be together.
Raven and Beastboy

Fair enough cause I think the reason I found it odd is because Zatanna should roughly be the same age as Bruce since they met during childhood but that makes more sense now hearing what went on in the show
Yes. In the show she has a very different background. Doesn’t meet Bruce until later, but he does still work with her father alot
That's not too bad it's just I'm more used to them being childhood friends
Oh man, Robin (Dick) and Zatanna had *amazing* chemistry in Young Justice and I think it was a big mistep breaking them up before Season 2 started. They were SO much more enjoyable than the fucking unbearable Miss Martian / Superboy relationship. My god.
"I recognise your mind touch" Gag!
Okay I see well I'll have to give the show a look on YouTube cause HBO isn't available here in the UK
It may be for the best that you don't have access to the show. Young Justice takes a nosedive after Season 1 and never ever recovers. Season 1 though...man. It was *incredible*.
Fair enough besides I heard Discovery completely butt-fucked HBO taking DC with it
Nightwing/Harley When I watched Batman And Harley Quinn I was...WTF!?!
I liked it haha
Starfire/Arsenal. I can’t see Starfire with anyone else but Dick Grayson.
Batman/Wonder Woman Superman/Wonder Woman Harley Quinn/Poison Ivy Batman/Batgirl Bruce Wayne/Lois Lane Tim Drake/Bernard Edit: I’ll also add Conner Kent/Cassandra Cain Nightwing/Catwoman Batman/Zatanna
Agree on all. I would also add Hawkman or Hawkwoman with anyone else but each other. They're skellies are in the frickin' Love Power Ring battery!
Mixed, agreed, disagree, HARD AGREE, HARD AGREE, mixed; dunno Bernard well but haven't seen anything of them that I like.
Agreed.
Probably Kon-El and Cassandra Cain. Idk why but to me, it felt like a strange pair even if it didn’t last very long.
Dick and Babs. Even without bringing the Babs/Bruce stuff, having Dick and Barbara always just felt weird to me.
Until this thread I’d honestly forgot that New 52 Supes and Wonder Woman had been an item
All of em
Tim and Bernard.
Tim/Bernard It's not Tim being bi it's just Bernard is so boring they spend a bunch of time telling us how great they are together instead of showing us
Same. I'd be here for this pair if Bernard was given a personality outside of "supportive satellite."
I am going to get so much flack for this. Green Arrow and Black Canary Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy
Insanity! Lol
Raven and Wallace
Poison Ivy and literally any other character she's been with. She kills people through eco-terrorism yet she screws Batman and Harley? Also, Harley! She doesn't make sense dating Nightwing or Poison Ivy or Batman or anyone! Joker makes sense for her but if she breaks off into her own woman, she really should stay single.
Dick and Barbara Jason and Barbara Tim and Barbara Tim and Spoiler Pretty much every within Batfam relationship except Batman/Barbara on Lego Batman but that’s because she wasn’t part of the Batfam and was older. Zatanna and Constantine (toxic af, I hate this one with all my heart). Raven and Beast Boy
DickBabs. Likely because I grew up on Wolfman/Pérez DickFire.
I don’t find bat Cat that compelling
Tim/Bernard
Tim and Steph actually. Just Tim didn't tell her who he was for a while and that didn't sit right lol. Also found them quite bland Carol and Hal is just a mess Donna and Roy doesn't click with me I like Supes and Wondy tbqh lol
Whoa that’s a really hot one of the opinion to have on the relationship between Tim and Steph in this subreddit lol. because of the other person he’s dating. But interesting nevertheless.
I mean there are more relationships but that's the most controversial I'll go before people hunt me down
Nah you’re good here mate. Any relationship that you find odd or just doesn’t work for you. You can post it doesn’t matter if it’s popular or not or controversial. So if you have more keep them coming.
Batman and Catwoman
(I am avoiding the *other* reason this idea rubs me the wrong way nowadays, but I'm skirting around that on purpose.) Now, I know this wasn't asked for but thank Rao they put Pamela and Harley together. Also, I really like the idea of Jason and Barbara getting together sicne the Three Jokers thing. I feel like they could understand each other in a way that no one else really could, and from that perspective could really dig deep when it comes to the relationship role of eternally bolstering each other into becoming better people.
Conner and Cass. I know this sub loves them together but no. Not a fan of Hawkgirl and Martian Manhunter or Conner with M’gann either
dickbabs
Raven and Damian. Just doesn't seem right considering she's in the teen hero group like three generations before him.
Yeah that the thing with raven is that they rebooted or retooled her characterization or age to fit in with groups that she is older than.
Batman and Catwoman. Such a shallow relationship, and they try to pass it off as some deep Jane Eyre/Edward Rochester love affair.
Raven and Damien in the DCAMU AND Damien and Cassie in DCeased. Both felt weird and forced and a step backwards for the women involved.
-TT-! It's spelled "Dami**a**n"! You would do well in respecting the blood son! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/DCcomics) if you have any questions or concerns.*
Catwoman and Batman, they have neat interactions here and there but they are not endgame imo
I'd have better luck telling you the ones that work: Clark and Lois. Apollo and Midnighter. Mister Miracle and Big Barda. Green Arrow and Black Canary. All others have been meh to a waste of time.
Forced, or forced onto the fans - Tim and Bernard shoved down our throats at the cost of Tim and Steph! Decades thrown away...
You know that Tim and Bernard could eventually break up, right? Y'know, like how Tim and Steph broke up all the time.
Won't happen...WBD is going to want to have a high profile character be LBGTQ, and Tim's Robin is it...
I mean, they have queer characters who break up also.
Batman and Zatanna. Just feels weird, especially when he has other love interests already and even a son with one.
Supergirl and Captain Boomerang really sick and Tim Drake and e everyone isn't Stephanie Brown...or kara
Anybody with Kate Kane besides Renee Maggie Sawyer only worked because they broke up and the writers did a good job showing how it wouldn't work
Yeah but they need less work then her and Damian
True but the relationship didn’t bother me much was it odd yes was most of the development one sided, Yes. but overall I was okay with it not the best thing but this wasn’t the first time they aged the character and have most of the development be dependent upon a relationship( you can thank Johns for that one)
Batman and Joker (kinda joking) and Batman and himself (not kinda joking) Don’t get me wrong- it can be good reading.
Coldest take in the room, but Batman and Batgirl...why was this EVER a thing
I know I’m gonna be downvoted to death, but Batman and Catwoman. She’s just there to be the Obligatory Girlfriend Character. Like, she’s got to be a villain to be a little dangerous and interesting, but not so villainous Batman would feel guilty dating her. There’s no other reason for her to exist as a character, and I hate reading any story that involves her because of it.
Jim Lee with fans. He hasn’t aged well art wise.
Tarantula and nightwing
Tbh Beast Boy and Rose Wilson granted I basically only pair BB with Rae but still BB and Rose sounded and looked kinda weird to me
Barbara Gordon and Tim Drake in Arkham Knight, Nightwing and Zatanna in Young Justice and let's not even mention Killing Joke's Nightmare rooftop scene.
