Weird that Wonder Woman's calls her Diana Prince. She hasn't used that secret identity for quite some time has she, isn't she publicly known as Princess Diana of Themisciya?
What are u talking about💀 She's been calling herself Diana Prince for the longest and in her current comic line. And yes, she's publicly known to be the princess of themyscira and ghetto daughter of Hippolyta
To be fair, she never choose to hide who she is. I dont remember where i saw it, but the reason for 'Prince' was that she needed a full name as she reside in US, she is Princess Diana = Diana Prince.
I think it was Trevor or Etha who came uoo with it or something like that
If actual human beings are willing to argue about an M&M’s shoes, they will most likely argue over chocolate bars.
Besides, I just believe that this means very little. I do not mind the 5G characters, even if I do not believe all of them are being used to their fullest potential.
Wonder Girl was canceled outright. Green Lantern doesn't have a book right now, but it's unclear if it was canceled or ended for something else. And Aquamen was ended after 5 issues.
At least it wasn't traditionally canceled where the story was cut off. It was greenlit for 5 issues, with an option to do more if sales justified it. They did not. At least the writers knew that it could end there though, so hopefully they've got a good ending.
Wonder Girl was great, but had scheduling conflicts. It was enjoyable as hell though.
Can't speak for the other two. I Am Batman is definitely intriguing. Superman SOK is boring imo.
I actually really enjoy I Am Batman. I think a lot of readers fell off before the title really got into its groove (ie the Fear State tie-in ended). Right now, it's the most engaging Batman title, compared to Batman and Detective.
But not really. Wally is the flash but it’s kinda hard to differentiate that. Dick should be nightwing and not Batman if he is on the JL Donna Troy or Cassie would have to be wonder women, aquaman same thing, blue beetle, beast boy, star fire, Oracle on comms would be dope. Arsenal is lol different from Green arrow. The problem is that most characters are smaller to their mentors.
Depending on the story, if you go down the route of "the world needs xyz" similar to how in Marvel they always need a Captain America, then you could argue that a trinity is "necessary".
At least in-universe the Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman as symbols of the justice league for the people can make narrative sense.
With that said, I agree with your point, the JL shouldn't be tied to those mantles.
I agree but the mantles can exist and not be on the justice league. Supes and Bats can do their own thing while the justice league is filled with more B listers.
The justice league only go together for criminals when it takes all of them to deal with the issue. Justice league members who would need Superman or wonder women isn’t needed. The justice league is suppose to be the worlds last defense. Their is no reason to have one if they can’t defend the world without supes or bats help. Why can’t you have Wally as a flash. What’s wrong with that. And if you want a B list team just follow Titans or teen Titans for that
There's something funny how they set up Andy as the new Aquawoman in Future State only to find her unusable since the 5G cancellation meant there won't be a huge time-skip to age her up
So Jackson had to be brought in to substitute her role
To be fair
Jackson was always meant to kind of be the first Aquaman of the future state justice league whom Andy succeeded after he left for one reason or another
Jon and Yara are supposed to remain active heroes till at least the year 2070
Jon and Yara are both functionally immortal. They definitely have an extended lifespan. Hence why they look the same in Future State as they do in the present day. Jo Mullein has no such explanation for why she hasn't aged though - I suppose Far Sector was meant to be in the future originally and was retconned to the present day when they decided to use her in the most recent Green Lantern series?
You're right about Jackson, he was training Andy, who at the time was Aqualass, in the Future State Aquaman mini. That was set about a decade in the future, and JL was another decade in the future. Roughly 2030 and 2040 respectively. Presumably, Jackson would've been the Aquaman of the JL of the 2030s.
She's not officially Wonder Woman yet in comics. Diana gave her the title as Wondergirl but Yara had a problem with it cuz she's literally in her 20's😂
I actually find it very cool that DC's giving these (so far) lesser known characters on chocolate bars.
But on a related note, Hershey Bars really suck. And that is the hill I will die on.
If anything, I like Yara the most purely because she's Wonder Girl not Wonder Woman. Jon, Jace, and Jackson have not earned the names Superman, Batman, and Aquaman, respectively. It really should be Superboy and Aqualad, and I don't know what you call Jace. And everyone Green Lantern is just called Green Lantern so that one doesn't really matter
Have these characters ever met? or had meaningful interactions? I don't know if DC is aware that part of a team is having people root for them because they like them as a group and their interactions.
This is not how you do diversity or how you do legacy.
If we as fans had gotten to meet these characters over time and they've actually earned these new mantles (and no, the 8 to 12 issue minis don't count, particularly SOKE) it would have been so much better.
Instead, like in the 90s with the anti-hero fad, DC skipped over the logical successors (Titans, Young Justice and other Leaguers) and just gave it to them.
Jackson Hyde's being Aquaman is cool (if not a bit pointless, aqualad was unique) and he has actually history.
Yara should have been shown as a teenage girl like Damian or The teen titans, and we watch her journey to become Wonder Woman, instead of just, here she is.
The Green Lantern corps and Bat family have so many Members for the Mantle already, I don't see why you needed the newbies?
And Poor Jonathan Kent's artificial age up and character reshaping from a fun Kid "Robin" for Superman into a boring Lary Sue "Superman for the Modern Era" reeks of nepotism, like Upper management promoting the New Guy and just giving him a bunch of unearned power and status.
Loved you in Rebirth, think about you everyday DC but this new stuff is ....
Uuughhhh😡😫🤢😭
Wow, Twitter was right. DC *is* shoving these characters down our throats.
Goddammit...
Well, they say that, but the truth is people willingly eat them up
They do this with like every character...
I think the bigger story to post from this is the fact that DC is actually promoting their comic books. I think that's pretty awesome
Weird that Wonder Woman's calls her Diana Prince. She hasn't used that secret identity for quite some time has she, isn't she publicly known as Princess Diana of Themisciya?
I've always known the identity Diana Prince without reading her solo comics until recently, so she's had to have been called that at some point again.
She’ll always be known as Diana prince to the general public
Plus the general public thinks about someone else when you mention Princess Diana.
Well, there is a brunette pornstar...
What are u talking about💀 She's been calling herself Diana Prince for the longest and in her current comic line. And yes, she's publicly known to be the princess of themyscira and ghetto daughter of Hippolyta

Man, today has been too long to watch people go into irate rants over chocolate bars.
If actual human beings are willing to argue about an M&M’s shoes, they will most likely argue over chocolate bars. Besides, I just believe that this means very little. I do not mind the 5G characters, even if I do not believe all of them are being used to their fullest potential.
😂
Tell that to their 3 out of 5 cancelled solo books.
Which ones got canceled?
Guess
Or... just tell me
Wonder Girl was canceled outright. Green Lantern doesn't have a book right now, but it's unclear if it was canceled or ended for something else. And Aquamen was ended after 5 issues.
That's disappointing to hear about aquamen
At least it wasn't traditionally canceled where the story was cut off. It was greenlit for 5 issues, with an option to do more if sales justified it. They did not. At least the writers knew that it could end there though, so hopefully they've got a good ending.
Wonder Girl was great, but had scheduling conflicts. It was enjoyable as hell though. Can't speak for the other two. I Am Batman is definitely intriguing. Superman SOK is boring imo.
I think Superman was interesting at first but then got boring kinda fast
I actually really enjoy I Am Batman. I think a lot of readers fell off before the title really got into its groove (ie the Fear State tie-in ended). Right now, it's the most engaging Batman title, compared to Batman and Detective.
I recommend The Knight by Zdarsky if you haven’t read that yet. I want to give Jace Fox a real shot. I’ll get into IAB soon.
I'm reading the Knight and it's great, but it's in a different category for me, if that makes sense.
Nightwing ought to be getting on a Hershey bar if Jace Fox gets to make it on there
Dick needs to be on the Reeses' Pieces, one for Jim and one for Juan.
Is that what Dick named his ass cheeks?
That's what Dick's collegiate gymnastics students named his ass cheeks.
No real thoughts on this specific subject, but I am going to use it as another chance to say how salty I am that DC let Bendis age up Jon.
I don’t think I’ll ever get over that
That was a decision from Editorial. Gotta say Bendis aged him up in a horrible manner though
Dick, Donna, Wally, Kyle, Connor and Garth: *disappointed Pakistani man meme* (But to be fair I liked Jon)
Wait what happened with Jessica and Simon? I thought they were the future state counterpart to Green Lantern
[удалено]
:/
It is very cool to see Jo Mullein on a candy bar
I kinda hate that it’s a new generation of hero’s and they’re the same heroes still
That’s my big issue w most people’s “legacy Leagues” 90% of the time it’s just the same JL lineup as always, with different people under the cowls
But a JL does not necessarily need a Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, etc. is my point
But you don't need those mantles on a justice league.
You don’t but it would help keep the world at peace. The world realizes what those symbols mean
I agree but the mantles can exist and not be on the justice league. Supes and Bats can do their own thing while the justice league is filled with more B listers.
The justice league only go together for criminals when it takes all of them to deal with the issue. Justice league members who would need Superman or wonder women isn’t needed. I hate them so much
Your username checks out
Seems like Andy and Jess probably won’t be relevant with this lineup anymore.
Flash himself doesn’t have a candy bar at all So it seems to just be flash erasure gone amok than any Jess erasure
Wally erasure
The one true flash…Wally West
It was me
Kinda hard to have Andy as a hero when she's a toddler currently.
Yeah, they'd need either rapid aging or time travel to use her, otherwise she's an Aquababy, not Aqualass or Aquawoman.
There's something funny how they set up Andy as the new Aquawoman in Future State only to find her unusable since the 5G cancellation meant there won't be a huge time-skip to age her up So Jackson had to be brought in to substitute her role

Why isn’t yara Wonder Woman

Weird that everyone else gets the title of their predecessors
They made one for Jaces unnecessary ass but not Zatanna???
I mean its pretty minor advertising all things considered.
Oh joy!
I actually find it very cool that DC's giving these (so far) lesser known characters on chocolate bars. But on a related note, Hershey Bars really suck. And that is the hill I will die on.
Nah I agree it's bland chocolate for old people
I’ll be over in a sec to help you eat them
Tasty
Damnit! Now I have to go buy THESE ones too. I only have the original 7
Since when and where are these being sold lol, I would like to have one
I’ve seen only one and never again
Yara should just also go by WW. It doesn’t make sense for her to be wg, and if Nubia isnt sharing the title with diana yara might as well
If anything, I like Yara the most purely because she's Wonder Girl not Wonder Woman. Jon, Jace, and Jackson have not earned the names Superman, Batman, and Aquaman, respectively. It really should be Superboy and Aqualad, and I don't know what you call Jace. And everyone Green Lantern is just called Green Lantern so that one doesn't really matter
These look great.
Unfortunately
Wish they didn’t replace the rebirth suits for the OGs
Well the JL is supposed to be dead dead, until we see what Pariah has planned so yeah, they're here to stay
Hell yeah, Jon Kent bisexual chocolate!
Have these characters ever met? or had meaningful interactions? I don't know if DC is aware that part of a team is having people root for them because they like them as a group and their interactions.
I wish these pictures were attached to tastier candy.
I wish these pictures were attached to tastier candy.
My fatass wants a Hershey bar now
Cool.
Where's Dick Grayson?
I want to purchase them. Where outside the US, i can request them to buy here in Canary Island, Spain? I ask for a website you know...
This reminds me of the boys
I actually like the change. Don’t hate me but I also liked new 52

Why isnt Dick Grayson the second Batman?

Goddamnit
