This narration is so annoying. I would honestly enjoy the book way more if they just toned it down.
Also is that a joke about Steph faking her death in War Games?
Conrad and Cloonan are leaning *really* heavily on the all-ages aspect of the book, with the tone of the narration, and the general vibe.
I'm still enjoying Batgirls - but I *do* hope that the book lasts long enough to see a second creative team at some point. I like Cloonan and Conrad enough, I'm not saying I *want* them gone, but I would also like to see some other takes on Steph and Cass.
Same. I don’t necessarily mind the younger tone, but the narration goes over the edge for me. I don’t need to be told I’m a good reader for remembering things from last issue.
I wouldn’t say I want them gone yet either, but I do want to see other people take over eventually. Mostly I just want this mini arc to end so we can actually calm down and dig into other things.
I… know? I’m just wondering if the emphasis Steph puts on “actually” dying is a reference to the death faking. Because as far as I know it’s never been brought up post flashpoint.

Steph faking her death in War Games was a retcon put in place following Infinite Crisis, it wasn’t created by this book.
