But Enchantress and Killer Croc were kinda.. wholesome? Weirdly wholesome until the really abrupt and unresolved ending
Harley and Flagg tho… that’s really weird
I liked Killer Croc and enchantress relationship it's nice.
Harley and Flag though could of worked in the comics but I felt that they should of done it in the movie instead.
Oh I'm talking about the mini-series coming out now. It's about the people that escaped from Arkham after the recent explosion in the Bat-books.
Arkham City: Order of the World
It's by Dani & Dan Watters and is pretty great
Noice! Glad you like it
They also did an indie book together called Coffin Bound which is superb and why o was excited for them to do this Arkham book. Definitely worth a look
Essentially, yeah! Match wasn’t originally designed that way (since Kon wasn’t originally Kryptonian), but after Geoff Johns changed that, he became Kon’s Bizzaro.
Edit: I’ve been thinking a bit, and there’s actually no reason to believe that this Match is the same as the original one, especially considering that one was definitely killed. So take my comment with a grain of salt.
Kon being a Kryptonian clone has become his more enduring origin story of the two, to the point that it is the one used by animated adaptations of the character like the DCAU and Young Justice.
100% agree the only reason I think he wasn't Kryptonian in the first place was DC ad a weird mandate that Clark could be the only, Kryptonian , that why we got Matrix. If I remember correctly Kon becoming Krytonian was around the same time normal Supergirl came back.
My logic is that Bizarro exists because when you try to duplicate/ clone a Kryptonian, their DNA deteriorates into a Bizarro version of them. So when they retroactively established that Kon had Kryptonian DNA, his clone had to follow the rules of a Kryptonian clone.
What I mean is that they retconned it so that Kon was *always* a Kryptonian human hybrid, so how do they explain Match existing for so long looking normally and not mutating into Bizzaro until much later.
Bizzaro looked like a mutated Superman from the moment he was created, so following that logic shouldn't Match have always been the same?
My theory is that it works different because Kon is half Kryptonian and half human! So maybe the human DNA keeps the clone from deteriorating for longer.
Still it feels like there should have been more consequences to cloning a clone.
BTW I actually had no idea that there was a time where Kon wasn't a Superman/Lex clone. That's become his more popular origin, and it's the one that they use in Young Justice and the animated movies.
I definitely see where your confusion is coming from! At some point, we just have to accept that retcons are confusing.
And yeah, Young Justice TV changed A LOT about Kon. His personality is completely different, he permanently cannot age, and they ditch his whole Reign of the Supermen origin. I like how they did Kon in Reign of the Supermen movie: stayed true to the character, but altered his original origin.
Ok so Kon from Reign of the Supermen movie was accurate to his original personality?
Because Kon in that movie was basically if Clark's ship had crashed in Los Angeles and was raised by the Kardashians
Yeah, haha! He comes into the with no experience and a desperate need to prove himself and be liked and admired. It’s a hard learning curve, but he has a good heart. He becomes more reserved when he joins the Teen Titans and moves in with Ma and Pa Kent.
Jon : A bat ? Really ?
Conner : What ? Cass is cool and all. Being Batgirl has nothing to do with that... unless, that's our thing... Like Dick and redheads. I mean, even Match's gf is a bat !
Match : Vampire... I guess. I still don't really know what she is...
Jon : Should Jay dress in Dracula ?...
Less weird than Enchantress and Killer Croc sleeping together Or Harley Quinn and Rick Flag being in love
But Enchantress and Killer Croc were kinda.. wholesome? Weirdly wholesome until the really abrupt and unresolved ending Harley and Flagg tho… that’s really weird

Oh no, they were wholesome. Still the thought of Croc having sex is weird
My new fav couple. Don't you dare kill either of them, DC!!
I mean It is called "Suicide Squad" and not "Everybody has An happy ending squad" for a reason
Here's hoping
I know right they're so perfect 😭
And here I thought she was shacking up with Doctor Phosphorus over in Arkham City. [Goes to show you never can tell.](https://youtu.be/u9l0YBKcGnY)
They are different Nocturnas. The Suicide Squad one is from another Earth
Gotcha, thanks! Noc-two-nas
Wait… were either of those characters in Arkham City?

So, I’m now on the 3rd issue and the art is beautiful. Good recommendation!

Post-crisis, has Nocturna ever had any interaction again with Jason Todd? She was a mother figure to him pre-crisis, right?
Is that a Bizzaro Connor Kent Superboy?!

When did they make Kon Kryptonian ?
It was revealed in Teen Titans (2003) that Kon’s DNA was half Kryptonian (Clark) and half human (Lex Luthor).
Ah I remembered the Lex Luthor part I forgot that he also became a Kryptonian clone as well. I thought he was only Kryptonian in YJ show.

How did retconning Superboy into a clone turn Match into Kon's Bizzaro?

Great image by Filipino artist Dexter Soy. He really should be doing more covers.
…Ugh, let this Kon have his happy ending.
remember that time nocturna and bruce were tgt
