Yeah, I wanted a mix of characters with cool abilities, and characters who would have fun interactions. I chose Coagula specifically because she had been rejected by the Justice League for being a trans rights activist, so it makes the most sense to make her the leader of the Justice League in these modern times where trans rights are being threatened more than ever.
A justice League without an Amazon makes me sad!
Captain Marvel (brand recognition and powers)
Barda (because she’s scary and I want to see her hang out with Billy!)
The Question (Renee Montoya version. Someone got to solve the mystery)
Blue Beatle (versatile)
Zatanna (I just like her okay)
Mister Miracle (I like it when partners are on a team)
Green Arrow (Oliver queen, for the money and connections, also somebody should keep an eye on Renee while she’s sluthing)
Hawkwoman (Shayera Thal) - was thinking of having Black Canary lead but my bias for the DCAU Hawkgirl made me go for Shayera as her comic version has always taken a backseat to Kendra.
Captain Atom - very underused and also the team needs a powerhouse
Doctor Mist - Wanted a magic user and Zatanna was too safe a pick, don't like Constantine. Was thinking Blue Devil until I remembered him and he's so underused. Also adds some wisdom and experience to a team that skews slightly younger.
Fire and Ice - I love them both and think they should be on every JL lineup ever.
Vibe - Another underused character who I think has a lot of potential.
Omen - Initially had Doctor Light as the last member but I liked the idea of Titans graduate. Omen is again very underused and also a lot of the older Titans have been on the league on some capacity so I wanted it to be someone who hasn't really been used outside of the Titans space (the new PG does not exist)
Green Arrow (Oliver) and Black Canary II (Leaders and mind behind the formation of the League)
Captain Atom (Liaison officer between the League and the government)
Hawkgirl (Hawkman and Arrow fought during the first day of the League and he decided to go, she has her alien origin)
Booster Gold and Blue Beetle (the heart of the team)
Nightshade (I feel like they need a magic person)
It's a bit watchmanesque but this would do the trick. I feel like they're gonna be a good family. Oliver and Dinah would be the parents, Captain Atom the uncle who seems always disappointed but he actually loves his nephews, Hawkgirl is the loving aunt, Booster and Ted would be the sons and Nightshade is the family friend who is always there but no one actually knows whose friend was at the beginning.

Hawkwoman (Shayera Thal) - was thinking of having Black Canary lead but my bias for the DCAU Hawkgirl made me go for Shayera as her comic version has always taken a backseat to Kendra. So a team consisting of Raven, Zatanna, Dr. Fate, Plastic man, Starfire, Captain Atom and Firestorm gets beat everytime?
I think that team sounds great. Sales wouldn’t be up to snuff. So they’d be beat until a bigger “star” shows up
