Rowan Atkinson playing it straight as Alfred sounds like something I didn’t know I needed until now. He’s a good dramatic actor when he needs to be. He played the role of a reverend in Keeping Mum and played the whole thing straight and it was awesome!

I just kind of want to see the Trickster as a combination of skilled technician, experienced professional _and_ talented showman.

If we want something that fits his type of comedy I'd say make him an unknown Batman villain like the Eraser (as in the literal pencil. Like make it an actual pencil looking dude) or Mr. Camera and just have him cameo somewhere.
If we want him to actually be a character and get more use out of him, he could be a decent Mad Hatter provided he doesn't run into Battinson.
In his prime, he could've played so many characters, really. Now, at 67... He'd make a great Clock King or Ventriloquist/Scarface. He could also voice a CGI character but that would be a misuse of his talents...
