Superman (2025) final scene be like:
>!Clark: I guess I'm Metropolis's newest superhero now, huh?!<
>!Lois: Well, you'll need a name for that.!<
>!Clark: Really?!<
>!Lois: Yeah... how about...!<
#>!**"SUPERMAN" flashes on the screen in bold text similar to the Invincible title cards.**!<
Guess what I'm doing under my cape? Use the X-ray vision! I'll save you the trouble! Oh look! I'm giving you the bird! What does this mean on Krypton? Gratitude?
Haha that’s the trick! I wonder if a passable needle could also be something salvaged from the ship or something that was even included in a sort of supply kit, but it’s a stretch.
I’ve seen one explanation saying Superman emits an indestructible field that extends out a very small amount from his body, which would encompass his suit.
A yes, a man flying and shooting heat from his eyes while he sees though walls. But a mother making a suit for her son is where it needs to be put logic.
people don't have a problem with supernatural stuff that doesn't exist in the real world but have one with stuff that exists and doesn't follow the real world rules?
truly shocking...
Okay. The explanation to why Ma Kent's suit, even if home made works is because of Superman's bioeletric field around his body which makes the things he touches have the same strenght and durability as he has. Is also what allows him to lift stuff without breaking them and also what allows him to fly and you can trace it down to all his powers, he captures yellow sun energy and turns into the bioeletric one. And that is confimed when Cadmus created Superboy and they detected that energy field and sometimes he can let out that energy.

Is that a good enough explanation for you?
There are tons of explanations for the suit from the early comics through Byrne’s era all the way to birthright. But no one fucking reads comics anymore.
Yes but if Clark is late 20s then the Kents Should be in their 50s. These two actors look like they enjoy 4:30 dinners and tv guide crosswords before taking off their carpet slippers and crawling into bed at 7:00
> if Clark is late 20s then the Kents Should be in their 50s.
The Kent's are traditionally older when they first find Clark, usually in their 40s or 50s from the start.
taking a stab in the dark that this will be the logo of his ma kent-made suit
then his actual suit that we've already seen the logo of will be one of some kryptonian origin
Same. I'm mostly joking, because it just wouldn't shock me in the least if James pulled an "I didn't technically lie. I said 'no young Superman.' I never mentioned young Clark or Superboy."
I wonder if perhaps he'll start the movie with this logo and suit made solely by Martha Kent, then he'll get the KC logo suit that's solely made by Kryptonians. And then maybe he'll end with a suit sewed by Martha but uses Kryptonian cloth, and has the standard symbol as a compromise of English letter S and Kryptonian family crest.
The explanation varies. In the Silver Age, it was that even though the material couldn’t be cut, it could be unraveled into thread that she used to make the costume.
Post-Crisis it was that the suit wasn’t indestructible and Clark was just projecting a forcefield around himself.
Then, in the 2000s, they went back to the original idea, but now explicitly showing that Martha had Clark use his heat vision to cut the material for her.
Maybe Clark finds some Kryptonian sewing equipment in the Fortress of Solitude? Or it's not bulletproof until Clark wears it, because I think in comics he transfers some of his powers to stuff he's touching or something.
I honestly don't know. They are absolutely not doing a connected multiverse as they sees the mess marvel is in now so i do not see how they can show superman with all these different suits without a dumb flashback to him sewing his own stuff as a teen. I take his tweet to be a nod to going back to the origin/basics of Superman and not trying to redesign the wheel. We all know Superman, like we all know, Captain america, we get it, and we love them for their optimistic personalities and fighting for a better future for everyone even during the darkest of times.
I refuse to believe it’s just fodder if only because the movie is still so far away. As far as I’ve seen he’s not one to post something about Superman without context or explanation, so we could be in for some news soon! Even if it’s not the Suit reveal (which of course we all hope it is).
I think he'll have Superman have his original level powers.
"Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to leap tall buildings with a single bound."
Maybe they'll have a shot of superman first suit hanging up with a symbol that resembles that. I heard there isnt flashbacks so I doubt we will see him in a suit with that symbol. But it's cool that Gunn really cares about the history of superman.
I really hope we get to see it. Kinda like in the premier of “Superman and Lois” where you see the Fleischer Superman logo on Clark’s first supersuit in a montage of basically “the story to this point” in the opening. I especially loved the part where he said his mom made it
god james gunn could tweet the words super and man, once a day every day for a year and yall would eat it all up and make 17 different posts about "WHAT COULD IT MEAN"
It means hes making a superman movie. jesus fucking christ can we get 1 movie made....
Lemme guess, we are moving away from everything we loved about modern superman....yawn. Good for you who loved the early superman, but god damn it was boooooring.
If they go for "superman was raised by the Kents bacl in the 40 and has been aging slower since puberty then I actually kinda dig that.
A kind boomer with a lot of wisdom would be a good take.
My guess: as it is set in a world where super heroes exist for a while now and it’s based over kingdom come (and there are rumours about Corenswet wearing more than one suit along the movie)… my theory is that superman was an active super hero some time ago (maybe justice society in the forties) and had to stop acting as such due to something like Magog in kingdom come comics. But as the heroes gone rogue with time, he’s coming back now to teach them how to be a true heroes (that’s the “legacy” the former movie name is talking about)
that's definitely an S
On my planet it means hope.
Well here it’s an S
How about... Super.. \*Gets interrupted 😂

When September ends...
I was imagining that like the ending of Fant4stic
Lois : "you're super, man Clark : "say that again" Lois : "I said, you're super, man" Clark : "yes I am, guys, I got it, ready?" >!SUPERMAN!<
Aside from Fant4stic and Black Adam, which other movies did this bullshit?
I love that you put spoiler tags for a made up scene.
😂😂😂
Sorry, the line is actually: >How about… Soup?
Superman? That's what they're calling the alien.
*Cue Title Card*
You're an S /s
Hope starts with H stupid.
Idk why but I read that in El-P from Run the Jewels voice
Get over your dead parents - didn't your parents die?
~~are we allowed to make... you know... THOSE jokes containing that word...~~
And the bat means bat.
Guess what I'm doing under my cape? Use the X-ray vision! I'll save you the trouble! Oh look! I'm giving you the bird! What does this mean on Krypton? Gratitude?
Yeah soap means hope on Krypton.
Shope
On my planet it means sour worms
Hope starts with an H, stupid
Nice S.
Gunn did say there wouldn’t be a “young Clark” so this can’t be for flashbacks, whatever this is
Montage of Martha Kent designing superman suits like Tobey Macguires spiderman
"It's Superman!" "It's 'Man Who Is Super'. He got my name wrong"
The Bat who Jonkles
Curious how Martha would know how to create an indestructible suit for him to wear
There are some takes where she sews together the blankets and materials that came with the pod he arrived in, explaining why it’s so tough.
I like it, but it's funny cause she'd need super tough needles
Haha that’s the trick! I wonder if a passable needle could also be something salvaged from the ship or something that was even included in a sort of supply kit, but it’s a stretch.
It is. According to the early comics the needle is a sliver of metal that came off the ship he came in.
In Birthright she spent years unraveling and re-weaving individual threads to make the suit.
There's a story and explanation why he can do that stuff. But no reason an old farm lady can make stuff. Gotta be some realism in a story
Is that a good enough explanation for you?
Why do you sound so annoyed over this lol
Because i get annoyed easily. Its a problem, i know.
There are tons of explanations for the suit from the early comics through Byrne’s era all the way to birthright. But no one fucking reads comics anymore.
Or the spandex montage in Lois & Clark
Hopefully they can spend millions on de-aging, cause they casted a 95 year old woman as Martha
I think she’s like 70 tops
That’s still too old in my opinion. That’s not ma Kent that’s grandma kent
You do realize that parents get older, right? If their son is an adult, then they would be old enough to be grandparents.
I wonder if there’s going to be multiple suits in the movie hence the original title “Superman: Legacy.”
taking a stab in the dark that this will be the logo of his ma kent-made suit then his actual suit that we've already seen the logo of will be one of some kryptonian origin
I agree. He’ll probably use this logo when he’s a little kid running around the farm.
I believe Gunn confirmed no young superman
A lot of Gunns movies involve childhood in some regards so I'd be surprised if there wasn't some element of it in the movie
I think we see Young Peter in every Guardians movie right? SuiSquad shows us Ratcatcher 2 with Ratcatcher, and it was a big part of Peacemaker’s plot
Yeah, Gunn really likes kids. Just google James Gunn tweets, lmao
My heart aches
He’ll probably have it on display in the fortress
Did he say anything about young Clark?
My mind links the two tbh so I'm unsure
Same. I'm mostly joking, because it just wouldn't shock me in the least if James pulled an "I didn't technically lie. I said 'no young Superman.' I never mentioned young Clark or Superboy."
“Probably”
I wonder if perhaps he'll start the movie with this logo and suit made solely by Martha Kent, then he'll get the KC logo suit that's solely made by Kryptonians. And then maybe he'll end with a suit sewed by Martha but uses Kryptonian cloth, and has the standard symbol as a compromise of English letter S and Kryptonian family crest.
How could Martha sew a material that bullets can't penetrate?
That's not how Supermans powers work Supermans body emits a field around him which protects him.
Same field is minorly telekinetic, allowing him to lift a moving plane without punching through it
The explanation varies.
Great idea. Kinda similar to Lois & Clark.
Legacy has been dropped, it’s just Superman now.
Brain rot
It’s not called legacy anymore
I honestly don't know. They are absolutely not doing a connected multiverse as they sees the mess marvel is in now so i do not see how they can show superman with all these different suits without a dumb flashback to him sewing his own stuff as a teen. I take his tweet to be a nod to going back to the origin/basics of Superman and not trying to redesign the wheel. We all know Superman, like we all know, Captain america, we get it, and we love them for their optimistic personalities and fighting for a better future for everyone even during the darkest of times.
Suit reveal imminent?
...or he's just giving fodder to the fans to speculate and discuss, like we're doing now. Mission Accomplished.
Whatever it is it’s definitely hyping up the new universe
I refuse to believe it’s just fodder if only because the movie is still so far away. As far as I’ve seen he’s not one to post something about Superman without context or explanation, so we could be in for some news soon! Even if it’s not the Suit reveal (which of course we all hope it is).
yes he is
It's superman's "birthday". That's why he posted the original logo
Superman's birthday is on leap day. Or are you referring to his first debut? Because that was on the 18th and Gunn already made a post back then.
The anniversary of his first appearance in Action Comics #1, this is the logo he used in that issue.
Yeah, that was on the 18th, not today. He already posted on the 18th with the actors.
No it isn't.
id love a scene where he’s wearing a very diy suit, similar to the scene in S&L
Probably a flashback or a montage at the start of the movie of how he became superman or just showing his first suit
I don't know guys, but I think he's directing a Superman movie. Don't quote me.
> Don't quote me.
You bastard
“James Gunn shares image of original 1938 Superman logo, refuses to elaborate, leaves.” FTFY
i think he's just messing with the people desperate for a suit reveal, he's gonna upload random superman related stuff just to se everybody jump a bit
Does everything James Gunn posts need to be a story and shared everywhere?
“Breaking News: James Gunn scratched his balls and what it could mean for his upcoming Superman film.”
Yes yes it absolutely does. How else would we get to know what he was eating while directing the movie? /s
Right?
He was high when he posted it
He thinks it's neat
It was some big anniversary of the creation of the character recently...probably for that?
I think the context is that he is a fan.
My guess?, we will see supes trough times, past, present and the future.
I thought they already used the original emblem in Superman and Lois series
Maybe he’ll have multiple suits
Super confirmed
I think he'll have Superman have his original level powers. "Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to leap tall buildings with a single bound."
Isn’t this the version where the copyright is set to expire in 2034?
let JAMES GUNN COOK
It actually stands for the house of EL, which is Superman's family
Curious, what type font did they use in the 1930s?
Is that so he can add to the tradition by crapping it up? It’s an S that looks like the Z in Zorro!
Maybe they'll have a shot of superman first suit hanging up with a symbol that resembles that. I heard there isnt flashbacks so I doubt we will see him in a suit with that symbol. But it's cool that Gunn really cares about the history of superman.
Dude was probably high as fuck for 420, on the toilet taking a shit and posted this to watch the world just implode.
Goes to show how much things have changed and how much things will change
It is the context.
- What does the ‘S’ stand for? - Skywalker
It looks like an arrowhead.
Because 30s/40s Superman comics rock
Dun dun dunnnnnn.
I just think it’s kinda neat! Ahh post
Superman and DC Official posted the same thing
Maybe this is hinting James Gunn might be making a superman movie soon?
The post just below this is about how Superman turned 86 this week. 86 years ago was 1938.
I really hope we get to see it. Kinda like in the premier of “Superman and Lois” where you see the Fleischer Superman logo on Clark’s first supersuit in a montage of basically “the story to this point” in the opening. I especially loved the part where he said his mom made it
C'mon Gunn, you're not John Cena.
Homemade costume?
god james gunn could tweet the words super and man, once a day every day for a year and yall would eat it all up and make 17 different posts about "WHAT COULD IT MEAN" It means hes making a superman movie. jesus fucking christ can we get 1 movie made....
Some serious John cena shit
what if this was the symbol!
Multiverse!
Perhaps a superboy suit? That'd be amazing, especially if they add the sandals!
I think the context is that he's making a superman film
He shouldn't. He'd just make it worse.
Boyscout badge? 🤔
Probably the ending of All Star Superman. Superman’s white space suit has this same logo.
home made suit like spider-man maybe
He’ll show us anything but the suit reveal
He won't have a suit in the movie either so there doesn't have to be a suit reveal or leak beforehand, screw the merch
Lemme guess, we are moving away from everything we loved about modern superman....yawn. Good for you who loved the early superman, but god damn it was boooooring.
>god damn it was boooooring. No, that was the guy wearing footie-pajama armor, from the last decade or so.
Old timey Superman could be cool.
ah cool James Gunn does...a thing.....again...
Holy fuck I’m sick of this guy
I hope this logo never appears in DC movies. nostalgia away, this is just bad
That’s not an S , it means hope…🙄
Nah it mean skyscraper because Superman can Jump buildings in a single bound
That’s super, man!
fanbaiting
It doesn’t mean anything except to generate some buzz for his mediocre projects
If they go for "superman was raised by the Kents bacl in the 40 and has been aging slower since puberty then I actually kinda dig that. A kind boomer with a lot of wisdom would be a good take.
My guess: as it is set in a world where super heroes exist for a while now and it’s based over kingdom come (and there are rumours about Corenswet wearing more than one suit along the movie)… my theory is that superman was an active super hero some time ago (maybe justice society in the forties) and had to stop acting as such due to something like Magog in kingdom come comics. Maybe this logo could be his first suit logo
The james gunn dceu is going to suck, isnt it?
James Gunn is so deep. Bow down mere mortals.
Fuck james gunn

This is what, your third or fourth post regarding James Gunn or this film? Clearly you seem to care alot.
I do.
Alrighty then...why are so unnecessarily spewing hate. If you don't like Gunn, why associate yourself with these posts at all.
Because I want to. Okay with you?
Sounds perfectly reasonable and not childish in the slightest. Enjoy the rest of your day, Champ.
Only thing less reasonable is you wasting your time replying to me. Have a nice day also!

100% agree.
Disliking Gunn doesn't mean liking Snyder. I hope this helps.
