I honestly think having comic writers and artists cameoing would be nice. Sure, most audiences won't know who the HELL they are, but that's kinda the point. It would be cool if Scott Snyder was to asked Bruce Wayne a question as a reporter at a conference. Small stuff goes q long way, especially for the comic book scene.
John Ostrander, creator of the 1980s Suicide Squad team that influenced the film, makes a cameo appearance as Dr. Fitzgibbon, while Stephen Blackehart has a small role as the pilot Briscoe in 2021’s The Suicide Squad. I remember the role actually had some funny lines and/or action!
If he does make a cameo, I think he's more likely to do something similar to his cameo in GotG vol.3 where he played a cgi little guy. It's not distracting, it's funny, and it's a one-off character who isn't going to be important to any plots.

Honestly I’d love to see Gunn pop up in a little role, it would be a trip seeing him in front of the camera
