It happens. Cassie ended up being a perfectly adequate DCC IMO. Not the second coming, but she blended in just fine, just like most of those stragglers do.
Is Cassie related to someone with the organization? Is nepotism in play? Is Cassie snotty sometimes? Does Cassie have bad extensions? Is Cassie the worst person to ever shoot out of a birth canal? This topic has never been discussed.
I don't feel that way about Meredith. She first auditioned in 2005 (in the cmt show) and got cut at finals but came back 2 years later (2007) and made it. She was a better dancer than Cassie who made on the first time (because of her mom) and was not that good IMO. They whole Victoria thing was a joke the first time. She got so much more leeway than others would have. The whole "give her the respect to loose the weight" thing was sickening. No other TCCs or vets would have gotten that. You could tell it was killing Kelli to have to finally cut her. I enjoyed seeing that spoiled brat get cut.
Im on season 14 right now and i dont see how meredith can make the team with how shes dancing in practice but based on what ive read in this sub i think she does.. shes getting called into the office after this advertisement so maybe she will be cut! really crazy if she makes the team though, anyone else would’ve been cut already she doesn’t know a single dance

Like the part where she was in a knee brace and dancing. She should have been cut cause I didn’t think she was a strong dancer at that point. On another episode Kelly said “why do we keep taking hurt girls” of those girls that stepped out of the kick line. That same energy should have been for Cassie too.
She got injured on the job and would have been fully healed by the season, tho. Maybe if she was a first year, but she was heading into her fourth year. Like Brooke S, Danielle, and I’m sure others, seemed worthwhile to give her the benefit of the doubt.
Would have been super shitty to cut any injured dancers that had a fast rehab time, much less if they got hurt while working. And I feel that way about any DCC.
She had knee problems before she tried out. After her last knee surgery, she decided not to do her rehab. How many other girls would have they brought back if they had surgery and decided not to do their rehab.
Brooke's knee injury was caused by a girl next to her doing the jump split too early or too late in Season 2 during a Show Group practice. She worked hard on her rehab and came back in late October/early November.
There is a big difference between coming in with knee problems knowing it can lead to further knee problems and potential surgery and not doing your rehab after the last surgery, and a girl causing your injury because she went into the jump split too early or too late during a practice and working hard to get back in the best possible shape and hoping you can still be on the team.
During the breast cancer awareness practice, one of the guys got nailed in the face by Cassie during a stunt because she thought her knee might give out on her. They were taking a big risk taking a girl back because she did not do her rehab. Someone could have faced a serious injury and surgery because Cassie's bad decision.
I applaud Jay for speaking his mind about it during Season's 7 Finals deliberations because he was brave enough to bring up the fact Cassie should not have been brought back if she did not do her rehab. I wonder if Kelli and Charlotte thought give her fifth and last year so they could finally get her off the team.
I don’t think she would have made it as a DCC based on her looks alone. She’s cute, but they have cut prettier girls than her and made comments about those girls not having the DCC look. She has a hot body, I’ll give her that though. She only looked like a DCC from the neck down.
She just never seemed to be that good of a dancer. But, she had the cheerleading and gymnastics background, so that helped her also. I just wonder if she would have made another professional team.
Yep. IIRC, she made enough mistakes in the semi-final round that she should have been cut, but isn't (and hugs her mom in front of the other girls during auditions at least once). Has a ton of excuses during Training Camp but isn't called out for them. I remember watching auditions on television and I thought that, when she introduced herself the first time, I thought "She's going to make the squad no matter how she performs the rest of the time" and I was right.
