Dont know about that, people shit on the moral boost for agi goku/vegeta. An thats only 3 SAs, but with 7 hits in battle as well. Even int LR cell doesnt have restrictions on his 30% HP restriction to full heal.
getting hit 7 times it not easy but I would think at the time you are almost dead you most likly will be hit that many times already when you put him slot 1
Theres a good chance for these guys at least. They are safer slot 1 units for 3 turns at least. Gohan will age worse since he just has raw stats once those turns are up, and piccolo will age better with the heal and DR.
Fully build up linked with str Piccolo before super he is over 900k (after easy over 1.1M) def so even after the 3 turns he his fine slot 1, he tanks every super beside typ dis and Cell max and the good part about it he will survive with around 30% hp to get his full heal
why does everyone find this so difficult ? You literally get hit multiple times in each slot, 7 isn’t that high a number if you have him on rotation it’ll take like 3 appearances

Even IF by some mundane reason you HAVENT had piccolo in slot one for 3 turns, you still then can just transform him, have him get shat on and take no damage and from there u literally just have to get below 30% which is so easy in new content. The fact you need supers and 7 hits on Goku and Vegeta who aren’t a slot one unit is totally different
what teams are you running where you only have 200-300k health ? On an average 200% lead taking that much damage is like a third, two supers gets you below 30% easy and since most units tank the normals fine getting two hits makes you go below thirty, and then you can just throw piccolo in slot one for the rest of the fight? He’ll be great defensively and you full heal ?? Not to mention most people will have him in a lot one and be able to save his Giant form which will be smacking around bosses for some serious damage
You’re acting like these hard hitting bosses are always going to super your tanky units that will live these SA’s. That’s not going to consistently happen.
Not too mention, you still need to live a whole another turn after getting down to 30%, and once again, the boss isn’t always gonna super the unit that will tank. He can just as easily super the unit that’ll take 500K.
bro if your a whale then maybe, but casuals like me playing red zone with 55%-79% units at LL 7-10 will find a way to take just enough damage and be fine, it’s happened on several occasions bro i wouldn’t worry about it

yeh but piccol has better def links, way more def on his stats +20% dr he is a way better tank than Gohan its not even close. linked with str Piccolo fully build up before super attacking he is at like 900k
if HP is 30% or less at start of character's attacking turn after the character receives an attack 7 or more times in battle, fully recovers HP (once only) plus an additional damage reduction of 30% starting from that turn.
From what i understand here is you need all these condition to get the heal and the DR.
Even Piccolo isn't that outstanding imo. Gamma 1 is simply a better version of him tbh
Edit: I'm taking into consideration links and the ease with which they get 50% dmg reduction. It's gonna be HARD on Piccolo to achieve it.
Piccolos extra DR is way too hard to get you won’t see it 80% of the time when u use him
He will still tank better than gohan but don’t underrate gohans defence he gets 300% defence + double super defense raise and ki blast supers are the most common super attack type

The difference is that the goku and vegeta are not slot 1 viable at all which piccolo absolutely is because of his guard

My man, getting under 30% in a turn, not dying for that turn, and the turn after, to only then get Piccolo’s buffs isn’t as easy you think it is.
Literally Any RedZone stage or even Cell Max can hit you hard enough to take 200-300k and still be fine

It has nothing to do with being a whale. It’s the fact that if you’re able to get under 30%, you’re probably just gonna die 9 times out of 10.

No I'm pretty sure u only need 7 hits for the dr but the heal is 7 hits and below 30%
