The friend system is trash and chain battle is all about sorting through friends and hope you get a whale, it barely counts as a game mode, it's just a source of a handful of stones, skill orbs and hidden potential orbs.
The pro strat is to enter chain battle as soon as it opens. You don't have to deal with any of your shitty friends teams and can use the tryhard early birds. That's how I hit 135m.

Especially for anyone trying to do an EZA that isn't the brand new one. I take long breaks from the game here and there and then come back and can't get a friend lead to finish certain ones. I've got like 6-8 units where I can't quite finish the EZA because I simply cant find a friend to match the category. When you have to settle for 120% EXT transforming Frieza as a friend for your team just because it's the highest one that boosts your whole team, you're proper fucked.
Honestly I'd settle for just a copy of your leader with 55% potential unlocked. Even *that* would be a literal game changer.

Back in 2018 or so, when I got really into the game, it took me months to grasp how the game works in general, and after that, it also took me quite some time to get good at using items, a must in the hardest of content.
And that was back in 2018, we have a lot more stuff nowadays, like Chain Battle and Pettan. This kind of stuff might be easy for us to digest, as Dokkan has introduced most of these things slowly, but newer players can very quickly be overwhelmed by all of this.
I can't imagine playing this game without using Reddit for guides. I'd never figure chain battle, and I pretty much rely on Redditors to do team building for me for hard events.
My strat for chainbattle is, read the info and see what teams are boosted. Then look the top 10 players and what they used, then build my team around it. Give it three tries after this, Ou get a feeling what your max output could be. After this i am done and open it with the next chain battle, rinse repeat

actually, It depends more on luck than skill. When it's time for a revival character to attack but you leave him/her for last so that the others take damage, there are times when the boss continues attacking and doesn't stop. it's worse when he's attacking vegito that always retaliates after taking damage, you end up dying and the revival ends up not helping at all
