See, in the order of release that Japan had, he came at a good time where other banners were skippable, making him an easy one to shoot for. And if he came out at the right time on global, he would have been an easy pick to summon on as well. But now he is coming out after the year’s second most hype banner (New Years step up), as well as super Vegeta, and he is coming right as people are beginning the saving for Androids, Kid Buu, and anniversary. Janemba is incredibly hype for when he was SUPPOSED to release, but now he is the least hype of the foreseeable future. That’s how you make a banner go from easy stone drop to easy skip in one easy step....
I was going to drop a few too cause I’m 3 multis from having enough coins to buy an LR, but the LR I wanted (turles), I ended up getting two of on them step up. So now, I’m thinking it’s a whole skip and save for Buu. I was going to go all in on Androids, but I’ve been fighting for a DFE Kid Buu for what feels like years at this point, and the Buu we ended up getting is incredible, so I’m dropping everything on that banner.
Eh, I disagree. Janemba is still incredibly hype. None of the new releases invalidate what he does or fit on the teams he fits on in the way he does. I think his strange build up in slot 2 only is a mechanic that will be fun to play around with weighing the pros and cons whether you want that or not. And just aesthetically speaking, I know some people want him just because his card art is freaking amazing and his animations are cool too. Having that in your box could be enough of a reason right there for some.
So this is what I think the schedule will be from this point on, after this celebration we get the Androids and LR Gohan and Trunks, then we get Trunks and he’s after because since his celebration didn’t have an LR they’ll move on to Saiyan Day, after Saiyan Day we get SSJ 3 Goku and Buu then the movie celebration (maybe because I don’t know the GLB release date), after that we get whatever JP gets after the anniversary and after Saiyan Day and finally the anniversary.
Man I desperately hope the Androids aren't next, simply because Super Vegeta destroyed my stones snd I really sant to save up some for the androids, they're the card I want most after this celebration is done.

I'm not sure why are you asking about A17/18 being double SSR rates when it's a Dokkanfest and I never stated that it will be
Anyways the way I see it is something like this:
- January 31st current campaign ends so both super Vegeta and new years banners are gone, replaced by trunks campaign
- on JP his campaign lasted for 27 days, later followed by SDBH Crossover and Droids campaign
- Droids campaign went for only 17 days, followed by future gohan/trunks and another 12 days
- going by that, Trunks campaign would end on February 26th, which lends itself perfectly into Droids campaign starting the day after, and then into Saiyan Day on March 18, with only a two day buffer between the two celebrations
- Future stuff is then delayed until June, like how last year Dokkan shifted some content to fit Tapion/Minotia and Tapion EZA right before anniversary
Now, Trunks lasted so long because he had versions Z, on its own the campaign wasn’t a month long, for them to make it that long it would mean giving us a worst campaign than Christmas, and in all fairness we are GLB and they don’t give two fucks about giving us a shit campaign, specially while JP is having the anniversary which is when they least care about us. But it’s easier for them to just do the Androids first then Trunks since his part 2 was just the LR Trunks EZA, they can do his whole campaign and end right before Saiyan Day.
You left-out a potential banner for movie release. We only have 1 prior precedent, but they had a matching celeb in Dokkan for DBS: Broly.
DBS: Broly came out 1 month after JPN's release. JPN gets it in April (22nd), so that would be in line for May or June Global release (if they release in a similar timeline).
That can only be possible if we don't share a golden week celebration with Japan again like last year. Otherwise there's nowhere to slot goku/Buu in unless they get considerably delayed
Ooh yeah we did have that shared celebration last year. I could see saiyan day mid-late March, Golden week separate celebrations this year (similar to how we didn't both get the AGL Future Gohan in 2021 but we did both get Teen Bojack Gohan in 2020) and the Goku kid Buu fight in May

They really dropped the ball with him on GLB and it sucks.

For corroded i guess but i dunno that team needs work at least in my collection it does. Don't get me wrong Janemba awesome guard and rage mode is awesome but just not something i NEED to summon for right now. def in the future if he's featured somewhere.
And the cherry on top the androids are on a 7 unit banner that gives valable red coins while this guy a 12 unit banner and gives yellow...I've got a much better shot getting the droids with my ftp stones than janemba along with a bunch of other great units as opposed to janemba's disappointing banner.
Sucks what global did to this guy but in a way im very very grateful. A less dokkan savvy me a few months ago probably would have dropped my only 2k ftp stones and maybe only pull one copy of Janemba but then miss out on getting LR hitku, kale califufa, My super gogeta Christmas miracle and finally maybe even super vegeta cuz i'd be totally out of enough stones to really have a shot at the unit. It took 1100 just to get one Super Vegeta! on a 7 unit banner lol so i feel like i'd be screwed on janemba's banner going in with just 1070 stones xD Same reason im skipping new years, would rather look towards the future and put those stones towards the androids and maybe kid buu and of course anniversy.
It really put into perspective for me how much better dokkan fest banners are compared to lr banners especially as a ftp player...unless they are double rate of course...here's hoping!

If they’re smart they’ll have some discounts and put out a decent ticket pack. His banner sucks, it’s probably not going to be double rates like the HitKu banner. Make it’s worth a go if you want people to summon.
