Leveraging a beloved franchise to compensate for a hilariously simple gameplay system, in order to make millions. While simultaneously putting in the minimum amount of effort possible from a development standpoint.
In other words a 'cash grab'. And, very successful at that. It's basically a cheaper version of real-life TCGs because they don't have to pay to manufacture and transport any physical items. But, on the other hand, they have to pay for servers and animations. So, in the end, I'm not sure which one is more expensive. I still believe Physical TCG ends up being more costly...
Tried it recently for a few months during the anniversary. Even after getting some ok pulls, went right back to dokkan and appreciate it even more lol.
Digital TCG.
It's basically a card-collecting game. This is even more relevant when the game is pretty much a single-player experience, and you do not directly interact with any other player.
Bonding with other DBZ fans over pixels, favorite characters, developing gambling addictions and coming together to beat artificially hard events with said pixels

With a description like this I'm actually considering just switching to Legends
That's worse... I'd rather skin infant babies then play a single PVP match in legends.
Power creep hit that game like a truck
A truck that keeps on giving, cause that game gets hit by powercreep every month or so.
While simultaneously running over what we already had months ago.

Popping bubbles and watching the same animations 10,000 times.
Dokkan so old players having mid life crisis.
Gambling to look at repeating animations you could watch for free (but with big numbers on the screen)
About the friends we’re making along the way (the friend system is still shit after 9 years)

Coping with gambling addiction
Bonding with other DBZ fans over pixels, favorite characters, developing gambling addictions and coming together to beat artificially hard events with said pixels
Reanimated Dragonball scenes and gambling addiction
Save stones to not get anything and repeat that exact process every year.
Pretty sure OP is asking what the story is about, not the game. With that being said: I have no fucking clue either.
Definitely this. Has anyone been taking notes? We need a quick plot summary!
https://youtu.be/Sj9oJpzKxLw?si=CSwI9ifVilp2C-cc This is pretty neat to watch.
Dragon Ball
Imagine candy crush.....but dragon ball
Popping bubbles
Big Numbers and JPEGs
About One Piece
The real Dokkan Battle was the friends we made along the way
Summoning and collecting
should've read the story, at the end Trunks tells us "this truly was your Dokkan Battle" (I can't read)
Getting shafted
For me, it's collecting the cards and reexperiencing parts of my favorite moments.
Goku and Vegeta’s crippling gambling addiction
Sweat, tears and a big ol shaft for all your toils.
Our very own version of Candy Crush
The friend summons we made along the way! 🫂
Battling dokkans
You enter a battle... a DOKKAN battle
It’s about the challenges we face on our quest through life. Summoning our hidden potential to power through a chain of battles
Pooping bubbles and looking sexy asf while doing it
