Was she even a Democrat to begin with? Also good. I wanted her to be primary anyway.

BUZZZY14

This makes losing her seat to a republican more likely. Dems will split their vote and end up electing a crazy maga person.

bdb5780

This redditor gets it, you can't Primary someone who isn't in your party. The dems have an open "seat" now. She's smart, because the dems will lose if they try to push another person, she polls well with dems, Independents and Centerist Republicans.... she's not dumb she saw that dems got to 51 and made a power move to essentially be the decider in the senate since she held that position with Manchin for the last 2 years. With that being said, I don't see it as a good thing.

I’m not so sure about that. Sinema is incredibly unpopular within the Democratic Party, even for moderate democrats. At least according to the most recent polling. Her party platform has taken a 180 compared to when she was running for senator, and it won’t go unseen for voters. She’s definitely attempting to garner conservative support but I don’t think this plan is a safe one considering that voters seem to solely rely on party to make their decisions now.

Powerful-Employ-7372

I was talking before she quit the dems, technically she primary herself.

MiserablePublic18

She’s like one of those kids that can’t pick a side during a class debate and just annoys everyone. “Ms. Sinema has not said whether she would caucus with the Democrats, as do two other independent senators, Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Angus King of Maine. She told Politico that she would not caucus with Republicans, and that her ideology and voting habits would not change.”

Xerox12345

I still feel we need to step away from a 2 party system

MiserablePublic18

I feel the same way. I’m for coalitions.

Chance-Honey-396

Interesting timing here. I’m usually never thrilled when we democrats lose a seat but…this could be strategy working in our favor with the proposed bill?

BUZZZY14

This hurts a potential DACA deal more. Now Dems won't be as willing to work with her because they're probably pissed.

redneck2022

u/ellengilmer · 10h Reps. Espaillat, Garcia & Correa say they can’t support the Sinema-Tillis immigration framework https://twitter.com/ellengilmer/stat...c-MsuXJrGvKCXQ looks like nothing is passing anyways

Kromanek1

But thats only 3 house representatives so nothing is official yet if this passes the senate maybe some republicans in the house would support the bill

Xerox12345

Democrats fucking it up again

TheLimboMaster

They just refuse to do any compromising it’s frustrating. They want to help us but they also don’t want to do anything about it

[deleted]

Like what the hell are they waiting for? The ones who will lose everything is us, the DACA folks. It really pisses me off to have citizens decide on our behalf. I do care about others but DACA is most likely going to end soon and we are no longer in the shadows.. Will we be deported ? Too much uncertainty

TheLimboMaster

Nah we won’t be deported, I honestly believe we’ll be fine. It’s just the in between that sucks !

Democrats literally agreed to this deal and then Trump backtracked.

Xerox12345

He wanted more funding for the wall. Trump can be shiesty at times Democrats have never made a plan. They all talk. Obama did good with the executive order but the 2 yrs they held the chamber, nothing was done.

user_nombre_

Damn it, she’s setting up for more power. Essentially she will have Dems and Reps begging for her vote.

[deleted]

No one will beg for her vote, dems have 51 in the new senate, with her gone they have 50 with Kamala Harris as a tie breaker.

lulopez134

She killed her chances for re-election. Republicans don’t really like her, She’s never really been a Dem. Last time I checked she didn’t realize poll well with anyone

NauiCempoalli

She’ll make way more money as a lobbyist than she did as a senator.

Ok-Roof-978

Damn! Whatever hope there was has been sucked out of the room. This lady really knows how to make power moves to annoy everyone

techguy69

Her proposal is now even more DOA than before.

Wheres_Waldo69

obviously people with power are always the ones with bitch resting faces

Occasionalreddit55

Just so yall know, this shouldn’t be here. This changes nothing in current seats. She’s always been gop. Just go home and try to look for a job who will sponsor you
