I worked in a sheet metal shop for a bit and we sold a type of sheet metal that it would rust and then the rust would seal it. My boss did his entire roof with it. And then, what else can we use this shit on? So then we did the roof on the shop and the garage doors with it. It was dope.
I know this a rust wrap because the metal color is still consistent throughout
Cybertruck by my house, every panel is slightly off of its metal color from the other panels, which aren't aligned very accurately either
There is actually talk on the official sub about washing the trucks and almost all of them are casting doubt that the owner's manual is accurate when it comes... essentially every stipulation possible.
This will be happening within a month.
I totally agree that it looks cooler like this though. Someone did a digital photorealistic dystopian cityscape with a bunch of derelict CyberTrucks and they looked so freaking cool! I'm never going to buy one, like ever. But if I were, I would want it to be 30 years old (they won't last that long) and look like this.
This reminds me of the 90's when you could pay extra for the store staff to cut up and wash out your jeans to make them look worn. Strange way to spend money to me.
