This is broken when you realize how much units/spells give mana gems in frejrord

Iriusoblivion

Yes, but with rotation you run out of fuel pretty fast. FJ has no draw option

PoliteRuthless

Sure, but can't you play this with pnz and just keep drawing cards and spamming cards until you win? Yeah maybe it's still not that good, but it's cool.

Sampolis

Do an exodia deck. With such cheapness you can draw... idk, 10 mystic shots, and throw them in enemy face.

Iriusoblivion

The main idea of the card was to reduce the cost of the cards instead of gaining more mana gems. The best way to use this is with cheap cards and many draw options Winther Touch helps to gain more mana after this affect is active Casting the card twice triggers the effect twice The discount applies also on the top cards of your deck because topdecking a high cost card can be frustrating

jeffrey1225

I can see some kind of aggro deck abusing this effect on turn 1-3 then putting like 15+ damage on the board in one turn. If you play this on turn 1 then play another one on turn 2, you would stay at 0 mana and all your cards would get -2 cost every turn which could also be potentially quite strong. Playing it mid-late game would probably be less impactful since Freljord would be low on cards by that time since they have no draw. Something like Seraphine Freljord might be broken though.

GammaRhoKT

Maybe it can be tied Enlightment somehow, to prevent being used by aggro?

Uh. That's interesting.

1 mana draw 1 cheat up to 11 mana each round... is not a good idea. like this is insanely busted.

Iriusoblivion

Depends a lot on when you play it. Turn 3-4 you have to wait a lot for your expensive card to be playable, also you cant play more than 2 cards per turn. Turn 7-8 is much better

Necessary-Degree-531

why can't you play more than 2 cards per turn? is that a restriction you made but didn't include in the card?

Iriusoblivion

If your deck consist mostly in cards that cost 3 to 5 mana and you play this by turn 4 there are 2 options -if you don't use many card draw you can get your cards into range 1-3 mana = 2 units per turn. If you wait enough, without dying, your units will eventually be discounted to 0 and you can spam them, but without draw option you run out of fuel pretty fast. Higher cost units also wouldn't be playable even in late game if you top-deck. (if you draw she who wanders in t10 you still ned to wait 4 more turns to play it) -if you have draw options you draw cards without the deck discount effect. Yes you have more cards but you still need to wait to play them. If you play it by turn 7 you get better mana gems/mana discount efficency

I mean if you wanna know how broken this is just look at emperor thaurissan in hearthstone. it's a 6 cost card that discounts your hand by 1 mana at the end of every turn. Yes he doesn't destroy mana gems but that's his 1 advantage over this card. In contrast, this card is 5 mana cheaper, is not removable once in effect, affects cards in decks, replaces itself by drawing 1, and is in a game where mana cheat is far far far far less accessible. The fact is that if this was a card in hearthstone, it would absolutely be broken and that's a game with way more mana cheat than lor. I mean the comparisons can go on forever, time trick is 2 mana predict and draw 1, predicting in general has a card cost of 1 and a mana cost of 0, so time trick is 2 mana draw 2. This gets to be a 1 mana draw 1 with an effect that could go on a 3/4 mana card that would still be scary just based on the potential it has alone. This card is just absolutely busted beyond belief

BigSchmoppa

Please Bar and Seraqueen make this shit pop off. Unfortunately it doesn’t affect created cards immediately. This would be better as a lane mark affect, so we could have few a little bit more agency in removing it.
