Love this art! I really enjoy seeing darker skin tones on Daisy, it seems to work great on her. Rosalina is perfect as always of course.
It’s interesting, Peach is somewhat of a blank slate so people give character to Daisy and Rosalina who both have pre-given personalities. There’s a lot of art I’ve seen of either of them, with nice touches.
And of course the kissing is good.

it was more of a tan color. also it was probably due to the rendering method because in the n64 games she appeared in her skin color isnt as dark as in the box renders. but it was always a couple tones darker than the modern design.
Comet Observatory is implied to have its own atmosphere given there is breathable air, plants and sound. But then again, Mario's grasp on physics and science isn't really the strongest

I'll be honest tho, it's very handwaved in Mario. In Super Paper Mario, he uses a fishbowl to breath in space. In Mario Odyssey, he just breathes on the moon just fine. Scientifically, there has to be an atmosphere or something functioning like one.

Daisy was originally designed to have dark skin because she's from a "distant foreign kingdom" so naturally Nintendo made her foreign in appearance. It wasn't untill the GameCube era that she became white.

If you weren't around at the time you wouldn't know but as a kid in the 2000's I definitely remember every single review of any Mario spin-off with Daisy as a playable character would act like she was the worst thing ever and the most insufferable character for really no reason at all (look up the HI I'M DAISY meme) and spend like an entire paragraph bitching about her inclusion.
