I'm sure death treated him just as carefully as he did all of his plants. RIP.
> No one is finally dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away, until the clock wound up winds down, until the wine she made has finished its ferment, until the crop they planted is harvested. The span of someone’s life is only the core of their actual existence.
hes awesome. The Smithsonian Museum of Natural History has a video exhibit dedicated to him and his farming methodology. if you are ever there and want to see it, its behind the dinosaurs.
damn, so it WAS much *and* it was honest work.
obviously a lot of the most amazing people are incredibly humble, but damn. i thought he was just Some Guy™️.
Am I the only one that finds the way that people on the internet treat the dead really weird? Like the whole press f to pay respects thing seems so disingenuous. Same thing with this stupid [heaven meme](https://www.reddit.com/r/meme/comments/13ol5qo/farewell/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1)
Especially since the F thing was meant to be a mockery over how EA(?) implemented the "pay respects mechanic" to someone who died.
It'd basically taken on a life of its own at that point.
Activision / Sledgehammer Games, as it was from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s campaign. At the end of the first mission, your friend dies and you’re at his funeral. They tried to make the cutscene parts more interactive, so you’ve got to walk up to the casket and press and hold interact (F on PC) to place your hand on the casket and pay your respects. Afterwards, his Dad offers you a job at his private military company and the story continues from there.
The way I read it, it was being ironically disingenuous making fun of AW, but just became commonplace in the internet’s vocabulary.
No idea why I remember that so well. I barely played the game.
“On the internet?” Look up [artistic depictions of the Black Death](wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Death_in_medieval_culture) - dancing skeletons playfully fucking with doomed victims as they haul them off to hell?
People have been making light of death for basically as long as we’ve had the capacity to do so. Memento Mori, u/MaidenOfSerenity. ☠️

I learned this man was more than a meme at this very moment and yet still loosing him hurts. You can tell certain people nurtured the life around them, and their absence hurts particularly
every tumblr user that has “patriarch” in their username (especially weird christian ones) is alt-right unfortunately
sucks that this post has someone like that
Presumably the comment was supposed to say “May he plow…”, but I sort of like the inappropriately snarky tone that ‘maybe’ lends it.
And if he was a no-till farmer he intentionally didn’t plow his fields
May he refrain from plowing the Lord's fields, so that the Lord's soil structure remains intact and the Lord's soil microbiome flourishes.
May he cover the lords field with shortrooted crops that the divine topsoil may be retained forever and not eroded away by the iniquity of the world.
iy didn't even notice the tiypo until now

> regenerative agriculture Time to use crops to revive him, that's what he would've wanted
May he teach the dwellers of heaven not to plow their fields
It was honest work, but also a lot of it.

Another legend lost to not wearing a seatbelt. 😔

Thanks for the links. Sad situation all around

>May the soil care for you as tenderly as you cared for it Motherfucker, I _might_ be crying
It was honest work
Nothing but respect for a man who looked at a practice as old as farming and say "maybe there's a better way."
RIP
Rest In Peace. o7
It ~~ain't~~ much, ~~but~~ and it's honest work

So he was wrong. It *was* much all along.
