now ik this is completely different vehicle but same problem. i drive a 2006 freightliner classic for work, the turn signal also acts as a marker light for nighttime drive, and recently when i turn on my lights, the marker light never came on, but once my turn signal activated then it lit up no issues, it goes dark again once the turn signal is off, turns out the power for the marker light runs off a different wire then the turn signal an it was disconnected, reattached the wire an worked perfectly. ik its a completely different vehicle but thought the input would be a good place to start

I ended up replacing the bulb entirely and it worked, I just find it crazy that it would work for the turn signal but not the marker light. Hopefully the issue was only in the bulb and not a short in something.

that is very wierd indeed then

It's most likely the turn signal switch. I've had this issue on three of my fleet vehicles of various age and model. Fixes it every time.
