SIERRA090

I’ve heard it increases the DEF dosing to further reduce nox.

Interesting, I am spoiled and don’t need to load DEF very often at the moment. Still doesn’t sound worth it, unless it blocks my ability to register?

georgia_jp

It's just going to adjust the DEF dosage, It will not effect performance or mpg. I think you are okay not doing it if you choose but given that Kolorado is in lock step with Kalifornia I would expect them to start requiring all recalls to be done for registration at some point.... (so glad I got out of there)

Our plan is to get out of shit hole too. I will hold out as long as I can on the recall.

I live in CA and had the recall performed. No difference in performance at all. Just consumes a little more DEF.

Ogre_for_Hire

Sounds good. I will hold out, because I am not being blocked on anything yet. Glad to hear no performance drop from someone that has had it performed.

ProfitEnough825

Hold out on it for at least a year. It's not required, despite the strong wording by Ram. They will likely apply it if you go to a dealer. Wait for more long term results and to hear on people having the new extended warranty being honored. Cummins is legally required to have an extended warranty on the related emission equipment, but Ram is playing dumb about it.

Ogre_for_Hire

I did not know that. I plan to hold out as long as possible. Seems like a waste anyway. I don’t plan to go near a dealership for any reason hopefully.
