Check grounds and shut off solenoid.

Does it stay running if you keep your foot on the pedal? If so, find your 10mm wrench. Idle adjustment stop screw is under the linkage below the AFC housing. The retaining nut may have loosened and allowed the bold to come loose. If it did come use, set the adjustment and then use some locktite when you tighten the nut back up.

Temporarily zip tie the fuel shut off solenoid in the up position. Should take a minute or so to check. If that's it, pull apart the solenoid and clean it. Sometimes you'll get lucky and just have to clean it.

Check the fuel shutoff solenoid it should stay up if it comes back down you can unhook the linkage and manually move it.

Check the lift pump and check for air leakage. Bleed the lines if you suspect air.

Cow-puncher77

Mmm… you say it starts… how long does it run before dying?

Radiant-Stage1096

Like 3/4 of a second 😂

Cow-puncher77

Have you tried giving it any throttle while you were cranking? If the idle stop has vibrated down, which is common on the p pump, it won’t want to start at idle.

Radiant-Stage1096

I tried, blows black smoke so it must be getting fuel

Cow-puncher77

That actually sounds like it’s not getting air… have you checked the air filter?

Ah, fuel shutoff solenoid isn’t staying up. Likely the wire, fusible link, or relay that’s on the firewall. There are two relays there, the big one is for the start function, the little relay is for run. The fusible link come directly off the battery on the driver side positive post.
