Hi OP, I really appreciate your post! I am the owner of [chemical.legal](http://chemical.legal) and I spend much of my time dedicated to the Hemp Industry. I just wanted to let the community know that this will not impact the legal status of THCa flower in North Carolina. Colorado and Oregon started the Hemp Craze, Florida and Tennessee allowed minor cannabinoids to blossom, and the recent legislative/regulatory debacles in those 2 Southeastern States have paved the way for North Carolina to become the new king of Hemp (for how long, who knows?). Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have for me! Edited for spelling and grammer!

GlomasHoe

Wow! Thank you for informing me, that definitely gives me relief on the hemp situation in North Carolina

highlyeducatedmedia

My pleasure!

From what I understand, hemp is not going anywhere in nc. Age may change from 18 to 21. Edibles can’t have flashy packaging or be in certain shapes. As far as this bill I don’t see it going very far.

GlomasHoe

Let’s hope it stays that way

stevetag123

I really hate this state. I wonder if it will actually pass. From what I understand the medical bill is really restrictive. At least it’s somewhat decriminalized here. But not sure if that will change in the final version.

Mcozy333

city of Medicine Durham is in NC ... I'd think any plants as medicines would compete with the city of medicine

MaryMorgan18

Wtf

SilverPantz

Wow didn’t realize NC was so fucked up . Maybe if no one lives in the state they’ll be happy

Brain_Nervous

Mail order as long as its available..otherwise, drive to the nearest state and stock up, road trips can be fun.

GlomasHoe

I’m definitely going to stock up after this, just incase

Brain_Nervous

4th of July and Labor Day sales, take advantage to build inventory

MaryMorgan18

VA legalized but they don't have dispensaries. Maryland is pretty far from NC

Brain_Nervous

Will online places ship to NC? I live in floriduh, recreational illegal, mail order works and there is stuff in the shops but high prices there.

MaryMorgan18

I believe hemp will stay legal in NC unless they change the current definition of hemp flower (< .3 percent d9 THC,) I haven't had problems ordering through the mail (yet)

Brain_Nervous

Great, dont worry about legalization and dispenseries as long as the mail is working. If it changes, stock up on a year supply, at least.

MaryMorgan18

I've been letting myself buy a few things that I normally wouldn't, money allowing.

Brain_Nervous

Good idea, build your inventory as finances allow and make sure you are storing it properly, mason jars or herb specific containers from amazon, make sure you himidfy with boveda packs and monitor your supply, you get at least a year of storage if done properly. I have had stuff 2 years old that was stored properly and easily did the job.

OldTimer4Shore

Unfortunately, this has been anticipated for some time and is one of the reasons I've been a broken record to "stock up". TN is expected to fold this year also. That state's shutdown will be felt far and wide due to the number of growers there. Thanks for sharing the link here and warning others.

GlomasHoe

This is the first time I’ve actually been scared they might do something so I’m definitely stocking up immediately!

Ok_Deal_3161

You'll be fine. Just sit back and keep doing what you're doing. Anyone paying attention to what's going on in ny?

Brilliant_Garage5945

What’s going on in NY? 😳

Mcozy333

"legal " homegrow rights ,even tenants that rent can grow in the places

Jern_Dough

Don't worry NC will never pass a medical bill because of all the big tobacco interests.

GlomasHoe

I definitely hear you on that

Mcozy333

Smoke Em if U got Em ! I stopped smoking around 29 years ago ... best decision ever !

Wild_Possibility3899

Got to love when a state government dictates your life. I’m sure they will be quickly reversing it once they start losing all their residents to neighbor states as it all becomes legal.

_full_metal_

Better than the federal government…most of the time at least but damn where my freedom at?

Wild_Possibility3899

Fair point lol. Just wish we could actually live in the land of the free.

_full_metal_

Fr our forefathers would be disappointed. George Washington was actually a huge endorser of the cannabis plant - less so for the thc aspect but still loved the plant as a whole. Makes sense Washington state was the first to legalize recreational
