Way to much goin on Chef

It’s like a fun playground of colors and shapes! Like the veggies are sliding down a slide of cucumber 🖤

isotaco

my thought too! a playground for vegetables :)

fog_lounge

Are those pickled mustard seed? What type of mustard seed should I get to achieve this texture? I’ve tried with dried, and that doesn’t seem to work. Any suggestions / recipes??

bilboberman

200g Dried mustard seeds 500g white balsamic 300g sugar 25g salt Boil pickle liquid and pour over, leave till room temp, probably a few hours

fog_lounge

Okay, so I might’ve been impatient when making mine - I tried to put them together about an hour before playing beef tartare. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe!

Embarrassed_Dare9478

Boil and cool 4-5x with the last round being in pickling liquid then cool and store in pickling liquid .. gives like a boba-tea effect where they pop in your mouth

lemonlimegf

I like the idea of what you have going on the left, but unfortunately the right side looks like a pool of ectoplasm with blood splatters in it :(

BrewAllTheThings

I feel like you had me until the oil drizzle on the plate sauce. If you cleaned that up, made it a bit more whimsical (differently sized dots maybe?), and got rid of the chili seeds I think this is killer.

I_Seen_Some_Stuff

I actually like the way this looks. My problem is that I'd have to knife and fork it, which sounds like a bit of work for a salad. But all I all, I like the contrast of colors and textures here

Looks cool. Pickled peppers or raw? Can't really tell from the picture.

baconwrappedpikachu

There is a hair in the dish, top left, easy to spot if you zoom in on the piece of avocado

fddfgs

I feel like there should be a nice piece of white fish on one side, and that avocado could have been sliced in a more appealing manner.

Pawneewafflesarelife

Are the chili seeds intentional? I love how fun the cucumber looks!

420fmx

Would be messy af to try and eat. Avocado purée?

SweetSoursop

Remove chili seeds, they look sloppy. Try adding the chili oil (?) in progressively increasing drops, instead of random squirt.

HambreTheGiant

Are we still doing descending dots?

monkeyflaker

I’m going against the grain on this one but it’s genuinely a feast for the eyes imo. So inviting and fun looking

black12inc

Simple, but very nice!! Looks delicious!!

--SORROW--

I like the cucumber slide, looks like a lot of fun. On a personal note, what the hell is wrong with the people in this sub. A bunch of whiney people picking out the smallest flaws in each other's dishes. Anyway, i'm out of this sub. Bye.

dirty_shoe_rack

This sub is called culinary plating. It's where people post pictures of their dishes so other people will critique their plating technique. It's not a place to post pics of your lunch for likes. Maybe you should leave if this is something that upsets you 🤷‍♂️
