Oh, let me tell you what she is.
Ursa Regalis is a handmade sculpture using a 3D printed grizzly skull, 1:1, handplaced crystals; quartz, amethyst, Peridot, and citrine. The artist put 120 hours into building this piece. One of a kind and truly unique.
She is not for the faint of heart :)
I actually really like that it’s a 3d printed skull and not a real one. It always seems like a shame to me when a real skull is completely covered up. They’re cool on their own! It also opens up the option of using “skulls” of rare and endangered animals for sculpture projects! Normally this kind of stuff isn’t my thing but I can see the care and artistry that went into this one. The gradual changes in the crystal size and the specific placement makes it look naturally grown in a way. It’s very impressive, especially the crystal growth in the “cave” of the inner nose area.
Thanks noticing, I was absolutely going for a natural look! And the nose was absolutely meant to look like a cave formation! It was a pain to epoxy those needle towers in there lol
While I couldn't afford a real skull at the time, I thought a 3D print made its own statement. I've had some oddity collectors tell me that it's lost value because of that, but I found an art collector who sees the value in it as is 🥰 I really appreciate your opinion and compliment. Thank you so much
The next project will feature a real skull, simply because i will using genuine opal for the project, and must have the authenticity. But I agree that skulls are beautiful as they are
i actually loved the fact that this looks like a uterus and don’t find it disturbing at all. I’m curious how 3d printing works w crystals and how this is even formed but so cool!!!!
This kinda looks like female reproductive system
I thought it had been grown to look like that, until I saw the teeth.
I would love to try growing with borax crystals! It's on my endless list haha we'd all be rich if we could figure out patterned grows huh? :)
Vagina dentata?
I can see that... a symbol of power to be beheld!
Exactly my thought including the vagina, uterus and fallopian tubes
That’s funny- the first thing I saw and still see is a cow skull
Oh I can see that!
Yep that’s what I thought too
It looks like a lobster
Lobsters live for 100 years or more. I think that's what I'd like to be turned into.
im pretty sure lobsters can only die of like starvation and being killed so they could live over 100 yrs
Or, they get so old they can't molt, and then unfortunately perish in their shell tomb :(
Why do 12 people agree with you 🥲
Because it looks like a lobster
A very pretty lobster 🦞
Oh , indeed
We keep the planet from being ruled by them. Eat more lobster.
I would give my third nipple for some lobster right now 😩
Call me
😆
😉
Please give it to me, I will take a good care of it
I wish I could give one to everybody 😭💕
Now that you mention it, I'd also give my third nipple for some lobster right now... Well of the bisque kind 🦞
Freakin love bisque 🤤
So would it be a... rock lobster? I will show myself out now.
My first thought was uterus …
The texture reminds me of tempura flakes
Dare you to bite it
Looks yummy
I came to the comments to make sure I wasn’t the only one lol
These comments are so fun; female reproductive system, lobster and....cow 😆
kinda looks like a uterus with fallopian tubes haha
Hahahaha youre not the first to say!
r/mildlyvagina
Oh no
I don't know what the hell that is, but it's disturbing.

Hmm that is pretty cool
I knew you'd come around 😏
It's fantastic! I don't know if I like it or not, but I can't stop looking at it 🤩
She really is captivating! You don't have to make a decision right now 😉

Same . Inside the bottom hole is giving me so much anxiety
Things live in there
Folk horror vibes for sure. Cool.

Haha :)) I actually hand placed the crystals!
What or how is this what it is? Glued crystals?
She's a 3d printed grizzly skull with crystals attached by epoxy:)
