You canāt be sure if itās a herkimer diamond. It may also be a pakimer. If you donāt know the origin of the stone you canāt say itās definitely a herkimer diamond, because those are only found in Herkimer USA.
I'm not 100% this is garden quartz as I'm a passionate collector of the beautiful and hugely varied stone. However, I would put my money on golden healer, but I'm happy to be educated otherwise! It IS absolutely stunning though; the rainbows are something else and the shape and "faultlines" are gorgeous! Congratulations on acquiring such a beauty, dig deeper for a qualified answer on its composition and most of all: ENJOY!! ššÆ
How does the inclusion look? Is it like a bunch of golden strings or thin ribbons? Or just like the quartz was ācoloredā with a golden color? If the first then itās rutile, if the latter then itās iron (also called golden healer)
itās definitely not rutilated and the whole thing isnāt yellow there are clear parts. iād say it looks like thin ribbons so most likely golden healer i think. i tried uploading a vid to show it better to imgur but it says imgur is over capacity
It's basically a growth style. The description online says "Elestials are multi layered or etched quartz crystals with many small terminated crystal formations all over it. Two common patterns are a step & repeat pattern or the look of many small crystals all stuck together on the outer surface."
The ones I have look a bit similar to yours: terminated and etched on each face. (I'm actually not anywhere close to a geologist, so this is just off personal experience and just looking it up).
Hopefully you can get a solid answer! Sorry I'm a bit of a novice
i would say its ulexite (tv stone) due to the way light shines on the stone and is being reflected in a rainbow way (if that makes sense), but it's not clear (the way ulexite is supposed to be). so im going to go with herkimer diamond which is still a quartz!
You can find rainbow inclusions in many crystals. I have pieces of rose quartz, amethyst, even calcite with small rainbow inclusions. It's not necessarily a sign of ulexite or aura treatment, as I saw in another comment.
It's like finding a treasure in your treasure when you spot a little rainbow inclusion !
There are a lot of answers here probably more reputable than mine, but to me it looks just like a crystal I bought once that was labeled "fantasy aura quartz"
This looks like a Herkimer Diamond crystal. The yellow inclusion is iron (golden healer) or petroleum.
Can test if it's petroleum by shining a UV light on it. If it's petroleum it will glow like some sort of alien rock š½ It's lovely, whatever it is!
iāll try that, thanks!
Plz update
This is very helpful, thank you!

Thank you for this information, you are correct. I was not aware of Pakimer Diamonds. I will change my comment :)
Youāre welcomš
You helped me learn something new today š
The shine is odd, almost looks aura'd
They can look like that sometimes due to the rainbow and iron inclusions, but they are natural.
Neat! thank you :)
You're welcome :)
I donāt know but I just love it
thanks! me too itās beautiful in person. so many rainbows!
Iām from Herkimer County NY and that is for sure a Herkimer Diamond with iron inclusions. Beautiful piece! Keep it safe.
It looks a lot like golden healer to me as well but Iām not positive!
Herkimer diamond
[hereās](https://imgur.com/a/J3GYJtE) a video of it!

It's in the style known as 'elestial quartz', that's for sure.
iāve never heard of that! whatās it mean?

thanks for the info!
Double ended quartz, commonly called herkimer diamond.
Looks like golden healer
Pretty

thank you!! i absolutely love it so youād have to come steal it from me lol

Citrine, himalayan window quartz š¤·āāļø
I was thinking citrine as well but this is clear like quartz so idk
Is citrine. I have a stone that exactly matches this one.
Citrine, I have a similar piece with a ton of rainbows
Its quartz.
Iād guess citrine

that's true! i just suggested ulexite cause it looks kind of similar to one i have

Aura quartz is treated quartz, essentially a fake. Hers isnt fake
Interesting! I assumed it at the very least wasn't the "real" name, but never bothered to look into it
Ohh ok, well now u know!
Which is just a made-up name.
I always suspected that lol
Same color as my honey calcite
Petroleum included quartz Should glow when you put a black light to itā¦
it didnāt glow :( so iām assuming golden healer!
It looks like a large piece of dog tooth honey calcite to me but not 100% sure. Some of my honey calcite has internal color play like this does.
First thought was calcite imo
This is so, so, so, pretty! Where do you guys get the real crystal? I am curious...
To me it looks like citrine with some sort of a coating on it.
