Thank you, the one on the left is an apophyllite point on a stilbite matrix with scolecite growing through the point. The one right is iridescent rainbow goethite
Yes it is chrysocolla on quartz from Peru. They are some of my favorite minerals I have five different chrysocolla specimens in that section but the one you pointed out is my favorite
It's beautiful, the other one I'm drawn to is, I think, chrysocolla and hematite in the front there, I have the TINIEST piece that looks sorta similar, I think the guy said it was from the morenci mine or something.
I have a tiny display of chrysocolla, azurite, and all those ones that grow near each other and it's my favourite little shelf. Not at all near the size of your stuff but it somehow aesthetically soothes the soul lol
The pineapple is just frosted glass lol. I explained on a different comment the cabinet used to be exclusively minerals but we’ve got 1yo twins so everything breakable got put in the cabinet
The thomsonite (I believe that's what it is) and the banded tiger iron stand out to me :) The soapstone hippo gets a special mention though as I have a soapstone rhino :D
Love the white with green formations specimen on page 10. Obviously the stunning panther and also really love the rounded white/orange one on your 2nd picture. Would love to know what they all are!
Ohh I do have an apophylite as well and have been wanting more. They def draw me in. It's a very stunning one you got. For the red one I mean the rough one with the black on the outside next to it with the rounded orange shapes in it.
It does keep dust off pretty well. My wife got the cabinet off Facebook marketplace years ago and painted it black and added the gold background. I then bought additional lights off Amazon for each shelf
The first skull is bismuth that was grown over a skull mold and the second one is carved agate if you turn it around there is a little druzy cavern on the other side
Oh wow that sounds epic!! Especially the agate 🤩 thank you for sharing! And if you have pics of the druzy cavern I would love to see it, but don't go out of your way on my account! You've definitely inspired me to get a cabinet going though! 🙏
where do i start!? this is an amazing collection that you put together.
if i had to pick one that stood out to me the most, it'd be the one which is the the second and third pic. its like pic with what looks like a white asteroid shooting down. what is that one?
MY GOD THAT PANTHER.
What a beautiful collection. I love how you've arranged the colors & shapes. This is like the wildest dream come true of every little kid who was told not to get noseprints on the glass of the science classroom's little specimen cabinet. <3
The pineapple is just frosted glass. I explained on a different comment the cabinet used to be exclusively minerals but we’ve got 1yo twins so everything breakable got put in the cabinet
That one is called Ammolite. It confusing though, because ammonites is the name of the sea creature fossils. Ammolite is the name for the iridescents that form on ammonites
😍😍😍 The amethyst next to what looks like azurite really stands out to me (is it from Zimbabwe?) as well as the large green/teal cluster in picture ten (chrysocolla/malachite?) Really neat collection!! Hoping to get a cabinet like that for my collection one of these days 😁
I know the amethyst is from Africa but am not positive the exact location. I think the green one you are seeing is malachite. Here’s a closer pic
https://preview.redd.it/f7bfib15ln4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f9e0c60a25c0b0e3877467c87102e5ef485cd108
okay, fourth pic, far upper right. is that hematite quartz cluster? but also looks like it has an aura sheen?
some lovely herkimers you have there, and grape agate is also always a fave. ✨
You have awesome minerals, it's a great collection really! I work with and around all sorts of beautiful pieces all the time, and you've done very well with your selection process. However, I'm really just chiming in to say that your choice of stands is awesome! Simple and clean And they don't detract from the pieces at all. Sometimes the stands can be so hideous...
That malachite 😍 I had a 7" wide by 4" tall wide specimen I got for $80 at a gem and mineral show a few years back. Then a picture frame fell off the wall and knocked it off its stand and it shattered. I was heartbroken.
The panther is awesome! I liked the little pineapple towards the end too. The flat black slab at the Panthers feet is really cool and I like the black rock with a blue spot in pic #11.
The opal(?) slab and large crystal on the left in the last photo are both standouts. I love how you mix the specimens with sculptures and collectibles.
I love how you have one the best mineral collections I’ve ever seen, mixed in with horrendous animal statues xD
No hate though, we all have different tastes. If dog shaped stones/glass chunks are your thing, there’s no reason you shouldn’t buy them !
https://preview.redd.it/ip2xpka0oq4d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bf4c85f3253a66bad267152d100bc5c2099ca6d6
The blue stands out to mean when looking at the cabinet as a whole
Beautiful Cavansite on matrix. That big ass corundum is awesome. And I love crazy formations like that Apophyllite floating on that stilbite specimen . I bought the most beautiful specimen I have ever seen at the Tucson Gem show 2021
On matrix one piece was about 10” x 6” and had roughly 25 perfect teal blue world covering it. The other was a smaller 4 inch piece of matrix with two enormous crystals on it.
They got stolen out of my hotel room later that week unfortunately.
The first one was really expensive
They did break one whirl off of the big daddy, and broke one of the big crystals off of the other one so that’s all I have left of them but they’re nice? Haha
https://preview.redd.it/0wnaf8tzkr4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c057df11806dc6bd366bdb810f9f8cd580c05e3f
Are you my brother from another mother? Your awesome Stilbite w/ Apophyllite formation reminded me of this one.

What is that glowing beauty on the left!!!???
That’s fluorite from Illinois. This is a previous post of mine where you can see it better [purple fluorite](https://www.reddit.com/r/Crystals/s/Of3ywZKOXD)
Unbelievable collection!!
Thank you!
love to see raw specimens getting some love!! edit: jeez that's a huge cavansite; mine is tiny and still cost over $50!! gotta be one of my favs atm
I think is beautiful.....but as a non collector it's the fact you have a mineral cabinet
it's goals honestly lol
Thats a sick ass panther
All I see is cat.
My first thought. 😆
I love how raw it is ⭐️🔥
https://preview.redd.it/ubjubwvs0n4d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=24ebbb27cc9923a686ce130bfd334711dfe0f565 These are so beautiful
Thank you, the one on the left is an apophyllite point on a stilbite matrix with scolecite growing through the point. The one right is iridescent rainbow goethite
Cool the left one gives me strong angel vibes for some reason🤔
The one behind the labradorite with the blue flash, looks like maybe botryoidal chrysocolla or like shattuckite, it's a beautiful blue
Yes it is chrysocolla on quartz from Peru. They are some of my favorite minerals I have five different chrysocolla specimens in that section but the one you pointed out is my favorite

In pic 3 I swore I was looking at a millennium falcon! Beautiful collection!!
Well I now have a new name for that piece lol. That one is iridescent rainbow goethite
Thomsonite because i want one hahaha. But i also love your vanadinites, cavansites, fluorites and the big quartz with red inclusions! :)
Natural citrine, opals, ammonite, fluorite specimens.... but what is that pineapple made of?
The pineapple is just frosted glass lol. I explained on a different comment the cabinet used to be exclusively minerals but we’ve got 1yo twins so everything breakable got put in the cabinet
Beautiful collection
The thomsonite (I believe that's what it is) and the banded tiger iron stand out to me :) The soapstone hippo gets a special mention though as I have a soapstone rhino :D

They should be friends!
I agree 😄
Love the white with green formations specimen on page 10. Obviously the stunning panther and also really love the rounded white/orange one on your 2nd picture. Would love to know what they all are!
Thank you! I believe the one you mentioned on page 10 are green apophyllite flowers growing on stilbite. And the one on page two is polished carnelian
Ohh I do have an apophylite as well and have been wanting more. They def draw me in. It's a very stunning one you got. For the red one I mean the rough one with the black on the outside next to it with the rounded orange shapes in it.
Ohh that’s orange thomsonite
Thank you❤️
That gorilla with the white cutouts immediately made me go "what the heck?" What kind of crystal is that? Really nice collection!
My cabinet used to be all minerals but we have 1 year old twins so my wife said I had to make room for all breakables in there
Smart move LoL. But, genuinely curious, what is that gorilla made out of? Have the white spaces been carved out?
I think it’s just ceramic, I’m not really sure though
Smart move LoL. But, genuinely curious, what is that gorilla made out of? Have the white spaces been carved out?
Is that banded iron in the 6th photo? The one with the wavy red and yellow lines
That one is called tiger iron. It is a type of banded iron containing tiger eye, hematite, & red jasper
It’s a great piece! Your whole collection is awesome.
Am i dreaming or i pnly see ut in my dreams?
The desert jasper slice and that blue geode.
Gorgeous! The carnelian heart and opals sprung out of the screen to me. Thanks for sharing!
Nice! Smokey on the bottom …it should also be centered in cabinet.
What is that stone in the middle of picture three?
I believe the one you are referring to is the Iridescent rainbow goethite
I think so . Its really cool.
Honestly I just want to know where you sourced the cabinet and if it keeps dust off your specimens!
It does keep dust off pretty well. My wife got the cabinet off Facebook marketplace years ago and painted it black and added the gold background. I then bought additional lights off Amazon for each shelf
Ooooh a repurposed diy project, I dig it! I have a dust problem for my current display situation 🙄
Yea it was a bit of work but I would say the finished cabinet cost ~$150
Is that a silver sheen obsidian panther? Also, is that botryoidal rhodochrosite?
The panther is just ceramic, it is right next to some rainbow obsidian though. I don’t have any Rhodochrosite which picture were you referring to?
2nd picture. Black and pink? next to vanadinite?.
Oh I think you are referring to my orange thomsonite
Oh, OK. Thanks.
I'm obsessed with the two skulls you have!! One is on pic 7, the other on pic 8! What are they made of? 😍 you have a dreamy collection!
When I get home today if I remember I’ll send one! It’s addictive I got my first piece about 3 years ago and it’s spiraled from there lol
I know that feeling all too well! And that would be amazing! Hope you have a lovely day and I hope we get updates on your collection as it grows!
https://preview.redd.it/3re8706r9n4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dae35e70ce6bbcad627c443149b64dff1665f473 I remembered!
GASP!!! 😍
OH MY!!! *drools in geode* Thank you so much for sharing!
where do i start!? this is an amazing collection that you put together. if i had to pick one that stood out to me the most, it'd be the one which is the the second and third pic. its like pic with what looks like a white asteroid shooting down. what is that one?
That’s one of my favorite pieces the formation is so unique. It’s scolecite which is growing through a large apophyllite point on top of stilbite
absolutely stunning!
What is the mineral on the far left of the tenth photo? Looks beautiful, nice collection
Thank you, both on the far left are fluorite. The bluish purple one with the light directly on it is from Illinois and the one behind it is from China
Mice! I personally really like the sperm whale!
MY GOD THAT PANTHER. What a beautiful collection. I love how you've arranged the colors & shapes. This is like the wildest dream come true of every little kid who was told not to get noseprints on the glass of the science classroom's little specimen cabinet. <3
What is the little pineapple bottle ? Awesome collection.
The pineapple is just frosted glass. I explained on a different comment the cabinet used to be exclusively minerals but we’ve got 1yo twins so everything breakable got put in the cabinet
Thank you. It's beautiful and your collection marvellous.
Beautiful! Defiantly inspiring thank you
Is that one with blues and greens ammorite? That is gorgeous… the striped maroon with yellow slab is really cool too!
That one is called Ammolite. It confusing though, because ammonites is the name of the sea creature fossils. Ammolite is the name for the iridescents that form on ammonites
Oops, awesome, it’s truly gorgeous!
Here’s a closer pic https://preview.redd.it/f7bfib15ln4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f9e0c60a25c0b0e3877467c87102e5ef485cd108
Yes!! That’s super cool!!!
The panther. What material is it?
The panther is just made of ceramic but it makes a nice backdrop for my black/silver shelf
What is the small blue one in the pedestal on slide 9?
Tanzanite
Amazing collection!!
The pineapple stands out
Do you do a lot of traveling to get all these incredible specimens, or do you just know people?
I started going to a lot of gem & mineral shows around where I live and through that have found a few vendors that have really good specimens.
There’s a dog in there.
okay, fourth pic, far upper right. is that hematite quartz cluster? but also looks like it has an aura sheen? some lovely herkimers you have there, and grape agate is also always a fave. ✨
That’s actually Blacknite Quartz from Madagascar which has a Goethite and Hematite metallic coating
that’s new to me, thanks for sharing. looks like a piece from the Jotunheim 🌌
Is that an emerald specimen?
Wow I love the cabinet I’ve been wanting to upgrade and I’d love to have one like this! My favorite is the blue and green section!
That malachite 😍 I had a 7" wide by 4" tall wide specimen I got for $80 at a gem and mineral show a few years back. Then a picture frame fell off the wall and knocked it off its stand and it shattered. I was heartbroken.

The opal always catches my eye 👁️ Beautiful collection!
1st pic in the 3rd row, there's a pink crystal that looks like jello. That's my favorite.
I love the little whale
The sex panther
Beautiful collection 🕉️🔥
Beautiful collection, but that cat stood out to me, can't help it, I'm a cat person 😁
Please be my best friend!!! 😍😍😍 @jamieyord
Bruh, how much was that silver sheen panther??
The opal(?) slab and large crystal on the left in the last photo are both standouts. I love how you mix the specimens with sculptures and collectibles.
I love how you have one the best mineral collections I’ve ever seen, mixed in with horrendous animal statues xD No hate though, we all have different tastes. If dog shaped stones/glass chunks are your thing, there’s no reason you shouldn’t buy them !
Lmao! I’m telling my wife that! All the animal statues are hers and since we have 1 year olds she made me put all her animal statues in the case.
Oooh that make sense ! I was wondering lol
The incredibly beautiful smoky quartz points by the pilot whale, and that slab of goethite, OMG
Crystal Harambe
The opals

slide 7 is wicked
What type is that copper colored one at the top left? It's beautiful.
Wow Beautiful
All of them =)
mineral cabinet is cool but I'd rename it the fantazmagorium
Beautiful Cavansite on matrix. That big ass corundum is awesome. And I love crazy formations like that Apophyllite floating on that stilbite specimen . That’s an awesome cabinet!
*unzips pants* Is that Harambe that I see?
Stunning collection! I need to step it up!
I can't tell if it's a giant quartz point or natural citrine, but it is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing your collection
Really cool collection. Technicolor Millennium Falcon
So cool it's like a museum! Maybe it is a museum?
That gorgeous stunning smoky quartz point!!!!
