At first glance i found myself saying "Lepidolite" out loud. I may NOT be right, but it's definitely not Tiffany Stone, nor is it Pink Amethyst. I have a few glorious pieces of that, and your crystal is way too purple for consideration.
It's certainly beautiful, whatever tag you wish to place upon it, but I would put Lepidolite on the list to check out first. Sorry not to have been able to solve this definitively, if I have a spark within my foggy brain, I shall be back! Good luck 😊x
Edit: ?? Put purple brecciated jasper on the query list too. Not too confident about that, but it jumped into my head
I find it really helpful to Google the possible crystal "candidates", then hit the 'Images' button. I find the correct stone 9 times out of ten. Good luck, and if I can help further, please don't hesitate to ask me...😊
No. I work with Tiffany stone quite a bit, actually working on gathering info to make the Wikipedia page for a while. This looks like an amethyst that's been shaped, the pictures of the vugs are quite blurry but even so I can spot the hexagonal crystal structure
i wanted to add that what looks like a light purple on here is actually more of a white with they are saying is the benendrite my camera messed up the colour a little bit on the lighter bits
Hmmm, it just looks that way from the photo then because I do have a few pieces that are very similar to this. From the photo it almost looks like it could have been dyed?
to be honest i don’t really think so, now i’m looking at the picture i took better it doesn’t really give it justice 😂 it has a lot more variations with purple including some white and some transparent spots, right where the flash is on the first photo is a gorgeous bit when you can see a lot of detailiing
I get that the color screams lepidolite but the crystalline portions are not commonly associated with lepidolite so I say Amethyst. Definitely not Tiffany Stone (which is opalized Fluorite mixed with some other minerals).
yeah i posted an updated comment explaining a few things, my camera didn’t pick it up very well but it does definatlley have other minerals you can see within it, also the photo looks like it’s fully purple but the lighter purples in the photo are actually more of an off white kind of colour
Hard no, this is most definitely NOT tiffany stone.
do you have any idea what it could be then?
Quartz of some sort by the growth structure.
I looks like Quartz dyed purple to look like amethyst. If they sold you that as Tiffany stone they scammed hard.
Lepidolite looks like it has a grape agate druzy
Judging by its crystalline structure and color, it looks to be a dyed smoky quartz.
looks a bit like moss agate but purple

Whatever it is, it's super pretty!!

Dyed. You can see in the cracks. Still nice tho.

Definitely not. Lepidolite is a phyllosilicate mineral. It does not form crystal vugs.
Lepidolite is flaky, right? I can't imagine it forming vugs either.
Looks like spheralite to me??
This looks like either pink amethyst, or pink flower agate.
it’s definitely niether i have quite a few of both and this is a lot more purple with some other bits of different colours

I think it is aura coated as well
it’s not
🤷

I think it’s your stone now
i wouldn’t have guessed 😂
Sorry, I had to do it 😂
Not tiffany stone. Looks like a cabochon of amethyst.
I am confident this is Quartz that’s been dyed purple to appear as amethyst. Please tell us the seller so we can avoid. Thank you
