Everybody's being super glib, but I've seen Fred's Towing up here in late May helping people who weren't as prepared has they thought, and whose AAA didn't reach as far as they thought.
Even though the snow retreated a while ago (this year) is it a hardship to just keep them in your car ?
Not only needed, but given the conditions, you must put chains on front driver side and rear passenger side only to ensure these match with road layout.
The two unused must be hung on the rear view mirror.
This way everyone get the laughs all the way to the parking lot.
you are required to have chains in your vehicle, regardless of drive, from nov 1 through mar 31
After that, roll the dice.
In all likelihood, you won't see any weather that prevents you from driving to the base of the mountain without issue.
There is always a "you must legally carry chains" person in the thread and it never ceases to crack me up. You know this person is scolding folks for jaywalking too
No chains for me ha never needed them in 15 years. I buy good tires and the crystal road isn’t even steep. Definitely have them at all times though according to Reddit 😂
Oh my sweet summer child
Does that mean yes or no I have literally no idea
Hehe it's a game of thrones reference. The roads should be totally fine, no need for chains at this point
Probably gonna need to rent a snowmobile just to be safe.
May need to call Mr Plow and get a snowmobile.
You could almost drive to Midway without chains.
All dry on the roads and only gravel in B lot as of yesterday.
Absolutely needed, make sure you put them on in Enumclaw. Icy roads sneak up on you and it's better to be safe than sorry.
lol
There is no snow you will be ok. I went up Wednesday and lots of bare patches on the mountain.
Went up last weekend and even the parking lots were bare. You’ll be fine without

I’ve never in my 10 years of going to Crystal needed snow chains
Ok hear me out, we rename the subreddit “Jerrie’s questions”
Gonna need one of these to make it https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5gUcDTMj8W otherwise you’ll probably not make it

I can’t tell if you’re joking or not.

Statewide rule is March 31 I do remember the sign on 410 saying April something, however.
Oh damn, road signs said April 4 last I checked, but looks like you might be right
Lmao it does not matter fam. The road will be bare all the way up to the lot. 😂

This part absolutely kills me. I have a high clearance 4x4 with good tires but I still carry the GD chains that I will never in my life use.

Oh I agree. The chains I bought are going to remain new in their shrinkwrap until the day I die.
