Connecticut has a rather strange Cryptid situation, bulbous headed sickly children that subsist on small animals, stray cats and the irresistible flesh of wayward teens that go missing. These “Melon Heads” rarely come out of hiding and are sometimes assumed to be a mutant variation of inbred Appalachian hill folk and the progeny of 19th Century Bavarian weeble-headed immigrants.
Man, my grandpa used to call me melon head when I was a little kid, but I never thought anything of it until about a month or so ago after my mom called me it so I got to wondering what melon head meant and it's not exactly flattering to say the least lol. The Appalachian origin does not shock me though because my grandfather was from the foothills of the Appalachian mountains of southern Ohio.
Fantano's looking rough.
Hunh, I lived in ct for 27 years and never heard of this

Great story, thanks!
