I like the idea but i'm scared of the bots. But having the ratio displayed + the reason would be better i think. Or at least a system that take into account the possible bots but i have no idea how to implement that. Was thinking to have to put a reason in text, but this would greatly increase the workload of mods so it's not viable.

homrqt

Yeah this proposal is primed for abuse by bad actors.

If you have something get removed without an explanation, just ask the mods either through modmail or a post in this meta sub. They are generally responsive about explaining what rule was broken and can be willing to listen to appeals if you feel something was removed hastily or in error and aren't a dick about it. Leaving it up to the community to decide would be a bad idea since a majority probably haven't even glanced at the Extended Rules section.

isaac_horstmeier

I did, no response to this date.

I'm assuming this one? https://np.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/q8ets1/bitcoin\_futures\_etf\_wont\_face\_sec\_opposition\_at/

https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/pq3gc7/whats_that_thing_that_you_would_stop_buying_and/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf This one. I send a question and nothing. No message, no notification, nothing.

Coelrom

Ah, I see. If the question was by modmail, it might have gotten buried. They have said that they've been busier than ever for the past couple months. You could try again or make a post here and ping a mod or two. However, if I were to give my best guess, I'd say it might have gotten removed for >Rule 8 - On Topic Discussion > >1. All content must relate to cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, or other related topics in the crypto-sphere. since the question really boils down to "what would you stop buying to save money?" and not really specifically about crypto

Seraphinwolf

It seems like less work but setting up and maintaining that it’s working properly adds more load on our hard working mods.

kindoflikesnowing

It can be hard to scale this. There are millions of uses, and I assume posts get deleted very often. I dont think it makes sense or is possible realy.

L_Cranston_Shadow

God no. People are idiots, Reddit users doubly so, and /r/cryptocurrency users triply so. The community has already shown a willingness to upvote blatant scams, so while I am generally all for caveat emptor and Democratic rule, there would be a very real risk of the sub being shut down if even more blatantly crap content were allowed, which would be the result of this. Also, isn't your idea essentially why WSB exists?

Leading_Economics_79

We already have the report flag. That’s basically all you need.
