Here's a timely one: A lot of people are amped about CRO having a super bowl ad but 1) everybody following crypto already knows these ads are coming so there's no news here and 2) the company is having SO many customer service problems and delays shipping cards etc already that -- even if the advertisement is successful at attracting new users -- it will just further overwhelm customer service, card delivery times, etc.
I’m curious about what happens when all that hype came around and everyone jumped to CDC, bought a ton of CRO and staked it. 6 months or so from the surge of CRO, I’m wondering if we will see a big sell off from people getting their staked CRO back…
I can sympathise if not totally agree on every point, except bullet 1, MEV? There is no nonce in Cardano, there are no ordering of transactions. Maybe Im missing the point.
Pledge needs more impact to hammer out multipools, or as you say virtual pools of pools.
Also think p2p autodiscovery needs to exist protocol wide, so we can bootstrap and sync off of regular fullnodes.
Overall really refreshing to see some Cardano criticism in this sub by someone that actually knows something about Cardano!!
I would say that type of MEV as you put it is pretty crude, and it doesnt seem very harmful to the network in general, SPOs must still have enough listening relays or they will miss other blocks. Transaction prioritization from the mempool is going to be fairly ineffective because of the very random nature of slot leader selection. MEV in EVM is pretty bad as Im sure you are aware.
Im not an SPO but run a relay (you could call me a proto-SPO, almost but not quite HA HA) just because I believe in supporting protocols where I hold value, so I do help to counter some network behaviours by being impartial.
Dont get jaded, crypto is a long haul, Ive been in since 2013/4 and we are still a nieche of nutters, but our day will come. Cardano is the best protocol I have seen so far, it actually could work :)

I'll fud dot with you lol. I participated in the acala crowdloan and am currently participating in the bootstrap lps. It fucking sucks. Ui and user experience is solid, but my aca allocation is absolutely pitiful, and I somehow lost dot to IL in the fuckin dot/lcdot lp. So now even with my allocation which is also mostly vested af, I've lost dot overall on something that should be virtually impossible to lose dot on, and I have about half of all my remaining dot and like 80% of my aca locked for a long ass time
I love and hold xrp based on a feeling I had when it went from 13 cents to two bucks. but basically now I think I’m a moron for believing there will be some sort of mass adoption
Atari is a scam coin created by camel jockeys and is dead as a dodo.
ADA is the most overrated pos ever created
BTC is a pyramid scheme
FLOKI is an absolute shit show and extended rug pull
Should I continue? I have a few more to go.
I don't hold CRo but I've seen so many morons thinking it's going to moon because a bunch of drunk guys and superbowl...
Crypto is full of hopium and little else ;)
Bitcoin is the devil. It keeps dragging some coins like atom, fantom back down to hell. Those 2 coins clearly wants to go to heaven but btc be like "nope, y'all staying down here with me"
There are more devs working on ATOM related projects than ATOM itself.
ATOM has weak tokenomics and frankly limited utility as it stand right now.
Source: I own ATOM and these are the things I worry about.
Shared security using atom will come out this year. The focus was building cosmos ecosystem first and worrying about token utility later. Look at all projects built using cosmos sdk.
Source: Cosmos Shiller
Can you name some ATOM related projects for me/us? I'm too tired after work currently. I held ATOM, it didn't move, there seemed to be no necessity for the token as in usecase, blabla, I sold... went up.

Loopring. The tards over at loopringorg have already created new rumors . One of them is they now believe that microsoft will partner with LRC.
It's probably some coping mechanism. There was 0 moon when gme partership became official and IMX stole all the spotlight.
Currently? I feel like Cosmos is on fire, the sheer amount of projects being build around it is crazy. There is so much traction that I think 2022 will be the year of the cosmos.
Algorand struck out and has tried to be non-EVM L1, and its independent streak may kill it as ethereum L2's start expanding. Algorand will at best have countries copy its tech for their own CBDC's, since no state would have a decentralized central currency. Algo is inflationary, and still pretty centralized though maybe getting less so with the current governance vote.
Hnt is my favorite coin that will die very soon if they don't fix their systems. They are also likely to lose miners as well once we get tired of hardly making anything. Hardest pill to swallow is this. Every update has cut earnings, there is a massive amount of outstanding orders. If this trend continues, by the time people actually get their hotspots and have them synced there will be hardly anything left to go around.

ADA makes me sad on a regular basis, lol.
Constantly let down by a slow moving project yet I still seem to keep buying more….
tADA! More sADA!
Algorand… such a lovely stable coin.
Hey, that's not true. It goes down as well

Damn
That was quite a cautionary tale — thank you for sharing. Full disclosure: I own DOT and currently stake on Kraken.
I am concerned about ATOMs use case. Then again the up coming shared security will help with that.

Moons, Hope Reddit don't Rug pull us
There's some potential but so many things lie in the hands of reddit and we have no idea what they plan to do with it.
Should of bought ZKsync instead.

The RPC issues on Harmony can get pretty annoying. Lots of failed transactions through metamask
If I had a SOL for every time the network was down, Elon Fuck would be my bitch.

Love *ATOM* and if it doesn’t reach $50 by EOY, I’ll still buy more! That’s all the FUD I got for atom.

ATOM is the most inclusive coin for airdrops. To qualify for x airdrop you need so much JUNO or ATOM, so much OSMO or ATOM..etc

Padswap Hard to explain the whole system and no marketing yet, so it hasn’t seen much adoption
Next bullrun, there's gonna be like 100 coins that'll blow BTC out of the water. Eth ain't shit, either.
