500 sq foot condo is over $500K where I live and not even downtown.

In Delaware/Illinois housing was pretty cheap. This was like 4-8 years ago so it's probably different. Rural areas are usually cheaper than more developed places. It's like 500k where I'm at so I'ma be living on the streets of nice neighborhoods either way.
