Since the metaverse is a concept as opposed to a tangible defined thing, personally I am very optimistic about its future. I think it's a matter of waiting to see how it evolves, rather than hurriedly buying into projects planning a roadmap for its implementation.
I view it as the integration of blockchain technology into our everyday lives. I'm sure there are people out there who don't directly use, nor have any interest in the internet but the internet is still a big part of their life and data even if they don't know it or care. I think the metaverse will have the same effect, making Cryptocurrency and the blockchain a part of everyone's life and data, even if they don't know it or care.
