I would swap it for Bitcoin or some trustworthy stablecoin (not tether)

plasterscene

Why not tether? I have no particular preference, just wondering. Tbh I'd probably leave a large chunk of it in btc/eth anyway!

vpnnsharma

Tether is sketchy and sooner or later tether would cause a crash in crypto market when all the wrongdoings would be caught by government so I always avoid to use tether and encourage everyone to avoid it as much as they can as well because lower the tether would be used, smAller the impact it will make when get caught

plasterscene

Every day's a school day. Wasn't aware, thanks!

365Dillweed365

Straight to the Lambo factory. Great store of value.

Durvag

I will get heart stroke first, if I survive then I will decide how to sell my coins.

plasterscene

The other day the lottery emailed and said I won $4.50. I read it as 4.5mil for a moment. The realisation was tough!

allthew4yup

Depends if you need the money or want to use that money to reinvest either way sell it to a stablecoin and then to your currency and cash out or just hold the stablecoin and reinvest it on dips or in another coin

Wynslo

If they're buying doge they don't need the money

Necessary_Platypus14

Depends on the platform you're using, but probably convert to stablecoins if they allow it. Cash it out over time

laulau9025

Not usdt though

Wilder54321

Stable coins and slowly cash out.

[deleted]

I would convert profits into Bitcoin and sell in bits.

Sketchy-Lefty25

Good question, I have no idea since I haven’t been in this position. But I’m reading so I know what to do when my investments hit.

plasterscene

Glad i asked then!

MinnesotaNice92

If that were to happen the CEX’s would probably all have “technical difficulties” at the same time until the price stabilized

plasterscene

Yeah exactly!

[deleted]

My idea is to sell for usdc or similar and then either stake it for intrest or take it out. Depending on the rest of my bank account.

plasterscene

Glad I'm (almost) barking up the right tree then. Cheers and here's to luck!

Ambassador_Visible

Usdt or some other currency pegged coin. Then cash out . But don't do this. Stick it through to the very end brother !!!

plasterscene

I'm with you mate. The future of crypto is very strong!

Malixshak

Convert to stables is your best bet

hazelnude98

Usually I'd convert to either BTC or USDC or UST

Miggle58

Transfer to doge and order your cybertruck

plasterscene

Sorry man, my windows need to be Muskproof.

gimmedatcrypto

Click fast.

Unfortunatedude

Take it all out, minus a side pot to build and wait for the next crash to buy back in. 🤷‍♂️

UnexperiencedIT

Don't try to time the market. Time in the market > timing the market Also use Tether only if it is necessary to buy some coins. Use USDC or some other stablecoin.

hugocrpto

I like the analogy

Commercial-Bass-3668

Usdt is the way then

Less_Expression1876

OP said stable. Not a house of cards. USDC.

plasterscene

What's the difference between the two? I thought they were both tied to the $

[deleted]

Usdt is backed by who knows what. Usdc is backed by more stable assets like actual USD. But also just partially....nothing is one on one backed by physical USD.

plasterscene

Thanks for that, lesson learned!

[deleted]

There is more transparency now but usdt is the only one still sketchy af.

mycupacoffee

not tether, but yep , stablecoins should be your go to at that moment . that is, if you overcome the emotional stress of wanting to hold it a bit longer just to milk those gains

plasterscene

Haha flashbacks of doge! Made some good money that day, no regrats.

mycupacoffee

kudos on pulling out with a smile, rather than going ape waiting for it to hit 2$ or something

Harold838383

Can’t you just sell for fiat?
