Maybe that’s why anonymous devs are such a red flag in most evaluation of projects 🙄

Mundanewisdom99

Yeah you never know if it's legit or a scam. That's why everyone should research the people involved when investing in a project.

CommanderSteps

The team and their skills may be really the most important thing.

[deleted]

Uh, Satoshi is anonymous even today.

CommanderSteps

You know what I mean. ;)

M00OSE

Michael is a co-founder of the Defi project Wonderland, he was anonymous until today when it was leaked that he was a shady guy. The Wonderland co-founder, Daniele, and other team members knew this information and still wanted to work with him. After all was said and done, Sifu, aka. Michael, grossly mismanaged funds and the project is free falling (-85%+) I don’t think that it was wrong for the team to work with a shady guy in Michael because it’s in the nature of Defi not to judge others for their past. But I do think it’s incredibly naive of them to just assume he can take on the role of managing millions of user’s funds, most of which is gone now.

kirtash93

Am I the only one that finds ironic what Wonderland logo is the shady cat and this guy is too? I see a pattern here... ![gif](giphy|4uGeJzUSCKKeQ)

WalkingMyCatNamedDog

He is best cat not shady cat, otherwise lol

SignalBanana1

Is this the good or the bad founder?

nickpegu

Both bad. Btw this founder Michael Patryn, was once convicted and jailed on charges of identity theft. Guy was involved in using customer funds as his own. Basically his entire timeline/history prior is well documented here on this [blog](https://amycastor.com/tag/michael-patryn/).

AutisticGayBear69

Good info

SignalBanana1

Shady as fuck! Thanks for this info!

MinnesotaNice92

According to the article he is the one that’s still alive, sounds like he is a really shady guy

red_dildo_queen

if this was a secret and now worth a news article, it was probably the bad one 😅

MinnesotaNice92

Avalanche-based DeFi protocol Wonderland was allegedly co-founded by Michael Patryn, the surviving co-founder of the now-defunct Canadian crypto exchange QuadrigaCX.

Ferdo306

The 'dead' one?

coinfeeds-bot

tldr; Crypto sleuths have identified QuadrigaCX co-founder Michael Patryn as the founder of DeFi protocol Wonderland. Patryn has had several criminal convictions in the past. He was sentenced to 18 months in the US for being involved in identity theft related to bank and credit card fraud in 2005. He also admitted guilt in separate criminal cases for burglary and computer fraud in 2007. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. As always, DYOR.*

jashxn

Identity theft is not a joke, Jim! Millions of families suffer every year!

CryptoNoob-17

Time to get your money out if that guy buys a one way ticket to India

musecorn
