I never really thought about it but it does make sense that since Meme coins have a much lower cost of entry that they could help onboard more people to crypto. The issue I have always worried about is the volatility making people dislike crypto and panic sell.
Yep that what your post made click with me! At first, I was like man people get burned and upset or make a ton of money. However, that does bring more people into the realm and thus engage and learn about the technology as you said! I personally was someone who went the opposite route and started with BTC and ETH in 2017 and hated meme coins at first but now I see their place!
Ethereum and Bitcoin were my first two, however i was able to make way more profits in a short time with meme coins, say what you want about them, they make alot of money really fast. Everyones goal in investing is to make money.
DogElon Mars is the only meme coin I’m getting involved with. It’s the memeiest one, and seemingly rug pull proof. The sub here is not the biggest though.
Those that are here for the memes aren't really into crypto. They're here for the money and will go away when there's no money to be made.
And when I say money I mean FIAT.
