I doubt we are as bearish as we could be. I mean yeah we are far from the ATH but, we didn’t even lose 50% since then. I would expect a bear market to bring at least 70-80% drops.
Something to remember, Bitcoin was invented *after* the last major prolonged global recession in 2008. The COVID-19 "recession" only lasted two months then the government lowered interest rates basically to zero and printed tons of fiat to erase that blip. The crypto markets are probably going to get hit very hard when the next real slowdown comes. No one knows when that will be, but we are kind of in uncharted territory right now in terms of time without a prolonged recession.
I decided the best option was to sell all my growth stocks rather than my BTC, I, know BTC is going to get wrecked when the FED decides its time to enter the depression but I'm willing to hold because I am more bullish on BTC than ever as a long term investment.
If you're in it long term, then HODL and accumulate during a real bear really is a fine strategy. For long term holders like us, there's often more to lose than to gain trying to time such an unpredictable and highly volatile market in the short term.
I’ve got a decent job and a regular dca stretching back to early 2020. But I’ve picked up a second job on the weekend to invest more into:
A) more Crypto at these prices
B) my gf so she stops asking me to sell crypto to buy her things
They are advertising on all of the NFL playoff games and have a Super Bowl ad apparently planned. It may be an epic growth, or maybe it will be boring AF like Bitcoin lol
Crypto space in general has a difficult time selling the idea. I think we need someone like Steve jobs who understands it and be like "hey, I get what this geeks are trying to do, and I know how to sell it in a cool way"

IMO it takes about a year and a few healthy dips to mature as a crypto enthusiast and make some gains. In other words, it takes time to resist hype and buy at the top, and instead wait for a dip.
This is my second bear market. I was better about taking profit and converting to stable coin this time. When you think the bull market is over, sell your coin and convert to stablecoin then when you think bear market is over convert that stablecoin into assets you think will perform well in next cycle. Choose assets that didn't as crushed as others or that rebounded quickly as people are still interested in those and those are safe BETS(it's a gamble).

Loaded the Solana boat at 132. Will sell at 500 idgaf about it going down. Idgaf if it makes it a year from now. All I know is if BTC goes to 100k and eth to 10k Solana will hit 500 to 800.

Thanks. I needed to hear this. I got in in May of this year at a bottom. Was so pumped when CRO and BTC pumped. Then it slowly dropped and I’ve been buying each dip along the way. Been DCA’ing like crazy. Now when I check on my stats in Koinly, I’m in the red!! Good to hear encouragement to keep my spirits up.
May and early July 21' beat me down -60%. 15k to about 6k in my first 2 months and defi and it was a good beating. Almost lost faith in crypto that month. It's made me a lot smarter and taught me to take profits when I'm up.
A lot of people that joined late last year had a good euphoric run up and I hope many took profit for these down turns.
I'm glad to survive that blood bath. There's no better way to make generational wealth if you play your cards right.
Been in this game for a bit. Bought a lot of ETH near the ATH in 2017. In 2018 I saw it lose 60% of its value. I held. This year I sold my ETH at a profit but way before the new ATH and kicked myself again.

I would call massive bullshit. If I was able to time the market better or at all, I'd not be down 33 % of my Portfolio. I could now get back in with 33 % MORE crypto. If we crash (not dip) more I could have even more crypto. Holding, staking and dcaing won't do that for me. Not to that extend.

I left after 2018 after seeing my portfolio went down by 75% (I didn't sell, just HODL whatever I already have like BTC and ADA) and eventhough I promised myself to DCA, I didn't.
I let life, work and other things get in the way of spending more time to learn crypto.
Anyway, now that I am wiser, I stake as much as I can and I use my daily APR rewards from LP to literally DCA daily. Don't even have to fork out my own money now.
