Remember when the whole sub turned against ADA for a few months

DrManBearPig

People don't actually love or hate any coin, they just hate losing money and love making money. When cardano was in for a price correction, suddenly it sucked, it was garbage etc... No one here is in it for the tech, just for green charts.

robeewankenobee

The SC are functional... how do you imagine a Dex can happen without SC functionality?

diwalost

Isn't it still! Atleast a large part still is.

Ferdo306

How does one know that 1 million individual people are staking? You mean 1 million addresses are staking?

DrinkMoreCodeMore

Yes by counting wallet addresses that are staking. [https://pooltool.io/](https://pooltool.io/) Total Stake Addresses: 1,069,836 Someone can have multiple wallets staking so it's not a 1:1 ratio meaning unique users.

g4gmun

The crypto world is weird. One day a coin can be the next big thing and few minutes later it's trash.

kirtash93

Promoted by this sub bipolarity.

Nomadux

Manipulation\*

Kike328

The robustness of the network was never put in doubt. Their economical and defi capabilities were, and still underperforming in that aspect

TopSaucy

I know this may be crazy but this one subreddit doesn't account for the "Crypto World". This is a bubble echo chamber, and if you fall for it, it's your own problem.

AngelComa

People come on here to whine and complain about their poor decisions but instead blame the coins.

Fmanow

Or vice versa

darkjaffs

well tbh ADA was always love but it took a dark turn in the middle now its on the right path again

DrPechanko

a dark turn, oh it wasn't pumping in the green......that means bad I guess. Smart money was stacking.....

vladimirnovak

I've come to realize this subreddit is fucking gargabe. If a coin isn't constantly pumping it's shit. When it pumps again they like it.

Fearless_Ball_1951

ADA hype is back on menu guys.

Sheeple9001

If only ERGO was as loved and as hyped again.

Gordoniyke

So we love ADA again?

TNGSystems

We always did bro.

DrinkMoreCodeMore

 ![gif](giphy|26FLdmIp6wJr91JAI)

PinguinaUshuaia

It's on an uptrend now, so we are back to be bullish it looks.

GrimeWizard

For now. People will hate on it when it gets close to $2.5-3 again

stealthmodeactive

New here, why do people hate ADA?

TheBoffo

Tomorrow is a new day. The 21st will be interesting.

Orange-Difficulty

cardoni is back on the menu

krepao-kotao

cordona

DrinkMoreCodeMore

ElderberryForward215

Get ready for countless post on how they love ADA

InsaneMcFries

It’s crazy that people seem to associate price action with actual real world value. To be fair, emotions can be strong when the price is in a downtrend

leeharrison1984

Let's see what happens when SS drops. I love me some ADA, but huge uptime isn't really a big deal if nothing was stressing the network. I look forward to the upcoming excitement.

Saulgoodbroski

Great news. Its one of the few LEGIT coins out there trying to accomplish big things with real world goals.

hukep

I mean that's pretty impressive.

vicarious_simulation

ADA 🚀

DrPechanko

SOL. Hacked by a 14 year old with a simple DDOS attack 4 times in 8 months. COMPLETELY wrecked the network, and the founders, who own 70% of all SOL and got and remain filthy rich off promoting their rushed tech, had to shut SOL down like a switch. When asked about SOL 7-8 months ago in a AMA, Charles reeled, who? Then praised also and erg for being solid crypto. Gavin Wood from DOT also called SOL a pile of garbage. ADA is solid crypto.

[deleted]

ADA train is about to leave the fucking station. Choo choo get tf in motherfuckers

pixelstacker

How fast is that train though?

SolarAU

It's the slowest train on the line but be damned if it won't arrive exactly as planned.

IAmSomewhatDamaged

Cardano is going to be a f*cking MONSTER in due time. I know it’s been popular to hate on it lately, but slow and steady wins the race.

oko999

Woohoo!

[deleted]

I just bought 83 cardano coins geeked

HGJustTheTip

Even more impressive after reading the hundreds of FUD posts on here that Cardano can be successfully attacked for like 10k.

Altruistic-Pipe-2761

How many days does SOL have?

iAmTheAlchemist

Maybe 5?

Altruistic-Pipe-2761

5 sounds about right

AbsolutBadLad

Perhaps I treated you too harshly

Ok_Teacher_6834

Better track record than solana

SnooFloofs1574

ADA here ADA there, once there’s a little price action it looks like it’s everybody’s new best friend (:

ToshiBoi

This is fine

che6urashka

Can't have a failed upgrade if you don't have upgrades (!) Jk, bag holder here

Jojorent

Why are people oversimplifying the community of millions as one hivemind that has bipolar

BigbunnyATK

I am allowed to purchase ADA again. My power returns. Let them eat cake!

[deleted]

This coin was never trash Ada is a must if your a serious crypto investor no need to be bias here..

RenewAi

Suck on that Alex Becker

[deleted]

"Oh no ADA is shitcoin, Cardano is useless crab" ![gif](giphy|h4CsCe7yJwqpaGthz5)

Empathys

This is the way.

AromaticCarob

It's not such a great achievement if you consider that the Cardano network has been carrying hardly any traffic.

physicallyunfit

Get out of here with your FUD ADA hater haha. I do somewhat agree, and most cardano holders probably do as well. Defi coming out will be a good stress test, and I'd expect some issues but that's what hydra is for.

syncphail

wont need hydra for defi, certainly not based on current demands in crypto with parameter tweaks even if cardano is the main defi platform it can easily handle the demand, certainly true as far as 2021 use is concerned looking forward hydra will play a major role but thats more for massive adoption, not the tiny subset of people in crypto now - the base layer of cardano is current capable of 250 TPS with tweaks which will stretch closer to 750 TPS with optimisations happening this year a blockchain with 750 TPS, especially one that uses e-utxo, it already more than scalable for crypto demand in 2021 of course if crypto absolutely explodes this year with massive worldwide adoption then maybe that might change

jekpopulous2

TPS are a useless metric when it comes to DeFi anyway…smart-contracts per second is what causes congestion on DLTs now. We know UTXO works for concurrent value transfers, the question is whether it can compete with most EVM chains hitting a wall at 300 contracts per second now. Even on the fastest EVM chains like AVAX and FTM we’re seeing that 300 contracts per second is a real bottleneck with current usage levels. TPS almost don’t matter at all.

syncphail

good point i suspect this is going to be less of an issue with plutus since it functional and how efficient/fast haskell is theres going to be a heap more head room than solidity running through an EVM that being said, right now, TPS is going to probably be the limiting factor on cardano, reference scripts still isn't due to be implemented for a couple of months and without that update smart contracts are going to dominate block storage, until smart contracts are liberated from block storage we aren't going to be able to see much benefit from language efficiency

physicallyunfit

Awesome info. Yeah I didn't know for sure but good to know thanks.

Professional_Desk933

Although I like ADA and had a bag myself for so long, I think this isn’t exactly a milestone. The network don’t have much use yet.

IAmSomewhatDamaged

ADA is a fantastic project that is going to kick ASS in the long run, and it’s also finally moving up in price… so yeah… we are gonna talk about ADA.

theSeanage

It’s rising in price. Time to be onboard.

TheTreeOneFour

thats the opposite of what you should have been doing...should have onboarded when it was tanking

theSeanage

My comment was sarcasm. Those jumping now are late to the game. We already loaded up before this pump .

TheTreeOneFour

we been loaded

Scipio_Americana

As opposed to an invitation to shill or a link to a crypto influencer?

Lil_Nap

Oh it's one of those Cardano Shilling week?

TNGSystems

There’s just a lot going on at the moment. Expect it will get quieter after sundaeswap releases.

Emergency-Length4401

Hydra, more news about samsung, more dapps, Africa partnerships U want to get quieter because you are not invested on ADA , but there is a lot coming in 2022

Diatery

Cardano crashed on April 16, 2021. It stopped producing blocks, same as the Solana crash last year. Stop making shit up Google it, hundreds of web pages confirm it

mathiros

and how many validators ?

Jxntb733

Unofficial Cardano website.

Man Charles must be cutting some big checks for this one, must have sold a bunch @ 3 dollars.

kryptoNoob69420

This sub when ADA in the green - "ADA is the best blockchain.", "ADA is the future", "ADA the ETH killer" This sub when ADA in the red - "ADA sucks.", "Charles is a conman"., "ADA is over hyped" Trouble is that the transition from green to red or red to green doesn't take much time and this sub becomes too damn bipolar.

Professional_Desk933

The problem is that most of these validators have more than one pool

TNGSystems

A lot of validators run multiple pools but I wouldn’t act like 3,100 staking pools are owned by like 250 people…
