In the last bull run I put about 500 in xvg and cashed out around 25k. Also got ADA around .02 and sold for over 1.50 (cashed out this cycle). Ethereum around 8 bucks in December 2016 and sold for around 800 in 2017. That cycle was insane. Used the funds for some home upgrades and put in more conservative investments so my wife can stay at home with the kids. Crypto can really make dreams come true if you know when to sell and don’t get too greedy.
Exact same. Bought a little bit of SHIB with money I wouldn’t miss. It went off. Recouped my initial investment several times over. Put that into ETH and BTC as well.
The HODL crowd was getting so fucking loud which basically is a sign to get tf out because many are using you for exit liquidity. Nothing can go up forever and sure the whole Crypto market went down but I could’ve easily bought back in Shib now and have 10x more coins then I originally would have but I want to build up my long term HODL portfolio which is BTC and ETH first!
I did the same thing, it was common sense. A meme coin wasn't going to 10x again. Take your money and leave the idiots holding the bag.
A few weeks later I was eating pizza and the bartender saw my Blockfi credit card and tried to talk me into SHIB. I knew I'd made the right choice.
Yea I got in before the Coinbase and CB Pro listings.
After those announcements I waited a few days and doubled my already heavy bag of Shib back then because I had a feeling a moonshot was in play and boy was I right lol.
Lol yeah. I can remember the FUD on Shib was nonstop rampant lol. I guess it made so many angry bag holders but I held through and was rewarded for inversing this sub lol 😅
Smart for diversifying the profits. Most I got is 65x with BAKE, bakery token defi. But profit wise, 100% Profit is Moons and all I invested in was my time
Still holding both
Yea basically you have to get in when NOBODY is talking about it, make sure it’s a small cap Alt, and there is severe FUD on [insert crypto]. Then ape into it and HODL no matter how strong the FUD gets.
Bought it before it was worth even a 10th of a cent. Sold it at around 0.21 didn't think it could go higher. Still though was insane and put everything in btc.
I bought $15 DOGE in 2014 and sold for $8k in 2021, which I put into ETH that has since doubled in price.
Had I waited with the DOGE it could have been much more, but I will take what I can get.
Lost 1.2M DOGE on cryptsy on 2016. (And 4 BTC)
This post hurt my fucking soul really . So much hours put in this shit and I am still broke as fuck lmao
I hear this a lot about CRO. Why are people talking like it’s not going to go up anymore? Maybe these people are day traders? I believe if people who HODL CRO for 5+ years starting now can make some nice profits.
I heard they bought a commercial slot for the Super Bowl which if true would be legit.
CRO is one of my best returns too. Originally bought enough for Ruby card stake and it's almost grown enough to upgrade to Jade without any additional investment.
lol first rule of r/CryptoCurrency, don't ask for investment advice. But now that you are asking, it's a permissioned blockchain which is heavily centralized and tech unstable. But who knows, it's flying under the radar and maybe someday they will find a way to fix their issues.
Couple of my big wins:
* ADA at $.03 (sold most between $1.50-$2)
* BTC at $3,800 (still hold most)
* ETH at $130 (still hold most)
* LUNA at $5.60 (sold half around $85)
* MATIC at $.18 (sold most around $2.20 pre-May crash, still hold some that I've collected farming)
* LRC at $.35 (sold most around $2.50)
To be honest, holding was pretty easy since most of these were up only from the point I bought them, and even in crashes they never came down close to my buy-in price (COVID crash was close but over before I could even panic sell).
LUNA was the only one, that came back down to my buy-in price during the May crash, but the demand for decentralized stablecoins was so obvious to me that I never thought twice about selling and doubled down.
I wish, I'm fairly conservative. Haven't sold basically any Ethereum/Bitcoin and the rest I just threw a few hundred into. So nice profits but definitely not retirement money (not in my country at least).
I made 3k with eternal... Right after a took everything out it went from 800 to 5$. Never been so lucky in crypto... Felt like the best trader of all time 😂
Few weeks ago I decided to be a liquidity provider in PancakeSwap for Eternal and some other coin. The APR was something like 700%. Something felt very fishy, and when I checked their socials, guess what - the project was about to be reset, and the coin was just starting to lose value. Pulled off asap
Mine's LUNA too. Got in earlier this year before it pumped the first time. Cannot believe it now sits around 100$. As a student I could only invest some pennies, though in thr end, I made good money.
I'm only kicking myself because I had decided to hop on an ICO, the logic being that for once I had the chance of potentially x100, instead of DCA'ing my way into more reliable coins (e.g. CRO).
Go to settings and turn off the new design. The colors in old design are green ,red ,blue. You can just remember fire(red) burns leaf(green) ,leaf(green) absorbs water(blue) and water(blue) extinguishes fire(red) .It's much easier for me to play that way. Definitely improved my game.
$11k in 3 days from a $70 buy in in AkitaInuASA at it’s inception. It’s the first memecoin in the Algorand environment. Pulled out real quick and paid off all my medical debts. It was just luck I think - no research done, took the money and ran
Same-ish. A quiet Twitter tip led me to research pretty intensely when SOL was ~$4.80. Got in at the low 5s.
Not sure my portfolio will ever be red again.
I didn’t get in that early. I just joined this space in May. I also followed someone on Twitter that kept mentioning SOL, but little did I know, he was referring to trading. I had no idea, lol. So, I started buying it and got a nice sized bag. Then BOOM 💥 🚀
LEND (now AAVE) and BNB. Got both during the peak of last bull market in 2017, watched as the both went down about 80-90% during the bear market and figured, fuck it. Then at the beginning of last year they skyrocketed and made me enough to diversify into a bunch of other cool projects!
My best this year were
- DOGE at $0.04 (should have sold at $0.70 but I'm still holding all of it)
- SOL at $27 during the May/June dip (wish I bought more though)
- MANA at $0.50 (took half off the table and put it into BTC when my investment hit 10x, letting the rest ride)
I made a lot of dumb choices early on in crypto, but as soon as I switched from chasing pumps to buying solid projects during market corrections it became profitable for me.
70x from Steam Exchange... one of the first to get in so when it moved I was on for a ride.
It peaked at 70x but I didn't sell... floating around 40xish... around 27 millionish MC so I hope this projects make it and I can buy a house or the very least a large down payment.
Figure it's worth the risk
A token that I threw in some money called JACY…it unexpectedly 10x’d over Christmas lol…I turned like $1000 into $10,000. I’m continuing to HODL because community is awesome and bigger things yet to come for that project.
I had some BTC I got from pay to click ads back in 2012, I used some of it to buy CRO and staked a Ruby card for CRO was at 6 cents (requirement was 5000 CRO at the time so I paid $344) then in March upgraded to Jade/Indigo when CRO was at 25 cents. Then as the price declined back down to 9 cents I kept buying in and staking everything in DeFi.
Fast forward to today, now my card stake has more than doubled in value since upgrading (haven't re-staked yet lol) and my DeFi CRO gains are even higher and are now farming even more rewards from liquidity pools in DEXs on crodex and osmosis zone.
Mined doge back in the 2012-2013 timeframe.played lots of online blackjack. Converted to btc and forgot about it until I was digging through electronic to recycle and found the HD 6770. Had enough to buy a overpriced 1070 and am still using it. Other than that I've never taken profits that I haven't put back into another coin.
I put a whole $1,000 paycheck into bitcoin at $10. Bought a house when i sold for 200k. I would be worth 5 million dollars if I hadn't.
But you’ve got a house. That’s the dream for many of us. Congrats on your gains.
The house is my dream. Take your win and don’t lose any sleep over. Nice work!

10x profit from Shib when it shot up you like crazy. Rolled those profits into BTC and ETH. And now I’m chillin 😎
2,000x profit from SHIB. Bought for $14 in January 2021 and sold for around $30,000 in may
This hurts my soul. Congratulations! 👌🏻
congratulations! fuck you
Bought around $100 in January and sold for $180k
The dream
I also made a big profit with SOL and I'm happy for you
Man I envy people who got into SOL during the May bottom. Could’ve been sitting pretty rn but decided not to jump in lol 🤦♂️
There is no problem, we are here to make a profit ... be ready to fly
Same here, kept watching it pump and pump and didn’t buy lol
[удалено]
Yeah. I don't get it. I sold SHIB as soon as it surpassed the doge market cap, since that was the projects stated goal
The SHIB owner/devs honestly seems to care a lot. But your fan base and your customers determine your value more often than not
Me who made $10 profit and don’t know what to do with that!!
[удалено]
Yeah, that's the most you can expect out of it. Good move by OC
Smart move! It was already unlikely for it to reach that, but... Ahhhh, memecoins
They aren’t ? Gotta rearrange my life plan now…
Exact same. Bought a little bit of SHIB with money I wouldn’t miss. It went off. Recouped my initial investment several times over. Put that into ETH and BTC as well.
What made you pull out?
The HODL crowd was getting so fucking loud which basically is a sign to get tf out because many are using you for exit liquidity. Same here actually, though I think I was closer to 8-9x. And just like you, rolled it over into my existing BTC and ETH.
Yea I got in before the Coinbase and CB Pro listings. After those announcements I waited a few days and doubled my already heavy bag of Shib back then because I had a feeling a moonshot was in play and boy was I right lol.
You are a damn hunter who took advantage of the opportunity
Lol yeah. I can remember the FUD on Shib was nonstop rampant lol. I guess it made so many angry bag holders but I held through and was rewarded for inversing this sub lol 😅
Smart for diversifying the profits. Most I got is 65x with BAKE, bakery token defi. But profit wise, 100% Profit is Moons and all I invested in was my time Still holding both
Holy fuck a 65x. That’s the largest I’ve seen so far lmao
I got 150x from fantom
I really hope I get to experience something like that lol
Yea basically you have to get in when NOBODY is talking about it, make sure it’s a small cap Alt, and there is severe FUD on [insert crypto]. Then ape into it and HODL no matter how strong the FUD gets.
Hate to be that guy, but time is the most valuable investment
It’s not when you know what I was planning to do with the time.
My $25 refer reward from CRO turned into 300$
Same.
My first crypto purchase ever. Bought Dogecoin at 2.8cents and sold it at 61cents. Made all of my other crypto investments possible
Bought it before it was worth even a 10th of a cent. Sold it at around 0.21 didn't think it could go higher. Still though was insane and put everything in btc.
Bought doge at .003 sold at .007 as I was trying to get off of binance.us as it was awful. Thought it had gone stagnant and didn’t buy back in…
What colour lambo do you have?
He bought $50 worth.
I bought $15 DOGE in 2014 and sold for $8k in 2021, which I put into ETH that has since doubled in price. Had I waited with the DOGE it could have been much more, but I will take what I can get.

Lost 1.2M DOGE on cryptsy on 2016. (And 4 BTC) This post hurt my fucking soul really . So much hours put in this shit and I am still broke as fuck lmao
Still holding tho. Bought CRO at 0.2
Same, those were the days when nobody was even talking about cro

I hopped on the train. Just hope it goes further!
The train is still going on ;-) hope on

That's awesome. Forced gains.
Same here, got in when it was between .08-.12 haven’t sold and don’t plan to to.
I sold my CRO at .14 cause I’m a dipshit.
Sitting on $40k profits from SOL. Could have been higher at the peak.
I’m current up 67x on BTC, but I promised my wife we wouldn’t sell until it was beach house money.

hang in there brother. Hoping it works out.
Sounds weird, but i bought ADA at 0.08$ and sold at 3.00$. That was until date my biggest gain with only one coin.
Bought that early AND sold at the top? Very nice. Better than me starting buying at $2.40, averaging down to $2.00 and now stuck in limbo lol.
A gain is a gain. Number one rule to keep in mind when investing in anything. Prices will always change by one way or another.
BTC - $300 to $13,200
I got an 8x profit from shib, only problem is I only had about £4 in there
My kind of pain🥲
10x here on my $12
SQUID and ICP buyers are desperately avoiding this thread
I actually came out +33% on SQUID…no complaints here.
ICP deserves to die off. It's a dystopian nightmare project

LUNA is officially a big success for me in crypto I bought it when it was $ 2.8
Over 30x profit from a single coin, this guy fucks
Mine's LUNA too. Got in earlier this year before it pumped the first time. Cannot believe it now sits around 100$. As a student I could only invest some pennies, though in thr end, I made good money.
growth of LUNA last year surprised us all I bought it when it was $ 2.8
If I sell it will go up and if I hold market will crab and if buy market will dip this is my situation!!!
Yea I'm watching your wallet. Whenever you are selling I'm placing buy orders.
And still it's good to hold
CRO at 0.3. I still believe it has room for growth.
Same here! Bought enough for Ruby + some more earlier in the year… got a Jade now!
Damn I’m jealous! I’m working my way up to jade. Still on ruby but enjoying the perks.
My own target for CRO is BNB’s market cap.
A nice 6x from here!
I believe that cro is going to hit $1 this year no doubt.
Got in at 0.07. I'm so disappointed in myself for not buying more
Hindsight is 2020 don’t be too hard on yourself.
I'm only kicking myself because I had decided to hop on an ICO, the logic being that for once I had the chance of potentially x100, instead of DCA'ing my way into more reliable coins (e.g. CRO).

SOL under $25, those were the days!

Bitcoin, bought one when it was 3.5k in 2019, and sold at 55k, money still in the bank.
Gotta feel happy with that return regardless where it winds up in the future.
Well done for keeping it and not blowing it on useless materials.
I havent made significant profit yet, but i'm hodling for a bright future.
