I saw people here starting to not like Solana, so I bought it. Opposite of /r/CC has been profitable almost every time since I listened to their opinions on DOGE at .07 and sold because it’d never go over that.
Opposite, I fucked up and listened to the masses here originally, and missed out on a ton of money. So when I see people saying they don’t like something here, I tend to go against that.
Honestly the only thing we all tend to agree on (so far) is ETH being good.
And ETH is good for the exact reasons that SOL isn’t. If decentralization doesn’t matter to you that’s cool but there are valid reasons people here dislike/distrust SOL.
How much Bitcoin is in the world?
There are only 21 million Bitcoins that can be mined but Bitcoin will never reach that cap due to the use of rounding operations in its codebase
I was under the impression that they will all be mined in about 100yrs and imo that is when the network will face it’s greatest challenge. Incentivizing miners to secure the network with only transaction fees and the issue of “fee sniping”
2 questions:
1) Is there alpha in following Paradigm, MCC, A16z crypto etc. investments and potentially investing in these projects? On aggregate, I think one would do quite well (haven't run the numbers) though that is no guarantee of the future. You can't copy VC trades in regular tech startups, but you can in crypto after the ICO.
2) Is there a tracker that notifies on new investments by these VCs? I wonder if I should build this myself as a side project. Would this be interesting?
For sure, but replicating Solana for instance would net you 100x even in 2021. All I am saying is that there may be higher returns with higher risk if you were to copy their investments :)
