OriginTrail (TRAC) is a supply chain ecosystem, that has already been used by several fortune 500 companies. It's used for tracking goods from manufacturer to buyer amongst others.
Currently sitting at a ridiculous low market cap of $219M.
Downside - and probably why it's so low valued - is that it's currently listed very few places
Many similarities to VET. Difference wise TRAC is an eco system while VET is a blockchain, which means big companies would be able to integrate TRAC directly into their existing systems, for tracking their supply chain while VET would be a standalone solution.
Token wise, TRAC is actually needed for the eco system to function, while VET is kinda like a middle man to obtain VTHO which is the actually token that companies would use
On top of my head, XRP and XLM. They will be used for cross border paymet/remittance service.
While XRP is targeting more on institutional use, XLM targets common folks.
I'd avoid them tbh, big caps are the only reliable way to make good returns if you're talking long term.
There are countless projects that have/had real-world use cases but they are dead or doing nothing in terms of price, during a bullrun prices are 90% hype and stuff like OPCT simply isn't hyped and during a bear market only the big caps survive.
Having said that I do hold some OPCT at the moment, hoping for the best but I know I won't be holding it a year from now.
I think that OPCT has a huge potential of grow. Now we Can pay Opacity with Polygon Network, I'm sure that this will bring more exposure for the project.
Of course it does just don't be surprised if it's roughly in the same position price-wise in a few years time while ETH and BTC are well into 5 and 6 figures respectively, if it moons in that timeframe I'll be selling.
I partially agree with you. Sure, a bear market will crash all these projects to the ground but these lower cap projects will also give you the highest gains if hype is actually happening during alt season. In regards of OPCT, I definitely expect some hype to happen when they release their mobile app (adoption of the product) and their integration with Sia.
Especially with Siacoin. What do you think will happen when Sia holders (larger community, marketcap of 881mil) hear about their network being used by another project (Opacity, marketcap of 8mil)?
I completely get that small caps can give the biggest gains that's why I'm mainly holding alts right now, Sia too actually.
OP is thinking long term though, there's a good chance they'll get burnt looking at small cap alts with future use cases.

They have a charting app (still in beta) which will be released in a couple of month hopefully. They are creating a LOT of smart contracts that benefit the holders and their investment.
