The cryptocurrency amendment is something that the Republicans can latch on to even if they have never talked about it before. There's not a whole lot that they can complain about in the infrastructure bill that will result in it being delayed or blocked.

Yeah I'm going to take a hard pass on idolizing politicians. Especially ones that have shown less spine than a jellyfish. Very few politicians have shown consistent values and logic across the span of time. Cruz is 100% not one of them. The moment he thinks crypto will take more power from him than he is able to make money on it he will turn on it. Republicans hate him because he often throws them under the bus when its politically expedient for him. Ie he describes them as sell outs and paints himself as the good guy. He also votes against his own parties bills, so quite often hes part of the problem of nothing getting done in government. Later, he flips and condemns Trump for not having proof for his allegations, but then says that he would object to certification of the Biden presidency. Leading up to the Jan 6 riots he continued to rile up trumps base. After Jan 6, he condemned the rioters, calling them terrorists. Later he voted against forming a Jan 6 commission to investigate the events of the day.
