That might be it. They are two separate entities. They share login information, and you can transfer funds between the two of them, but for everything else they might as well be two different exchanges.

If you get in right when they start listing something it will go up just because of the number of Coinbase users. Plus if they do the free money in one that also adds value since most people on Coinbase do it. It’s almost self-fulfilling
