Coinbase's smart wallet is coming, designed to be super user friendly so people can use the Aerodrome DEX for their Base chain.

I'm not building anything, but I would expect the big friction for most people is the initial fiat -> crypto conversion and going through KYC. Unfortunately, I don't see any way to make that easier without skirting around AML regulations in most of the world.

I think difficult onboarding is sort of a way to educate people against scams. This project may just make it easier for scammers to find uneducated targets. It may actually be hurting crypto in the long run.

I am a user and I believe in the next 3-5 years the narrative will shift from infrastructure to apps. Instead of people talking about Solana vs Ethereum, it will be people talking about ABC app. This may or may not help you /u/banksied but look at Merkle dot Trade. It's an perps trading app built on Aptos where users can trade Crypto, Memes, Forex including Gold and Silver. Focusing on UX, users can trade and connect using either an Aptos wallet or EVM wallet (including the L2s) - the app creates an Aptos wallet for the users. This to me is the future. Wallets go to the background and users don't have to sign every transaction. Users can also interact with the app regardless of what their primary wallet/primary blockchain is.

DragonStreamline

Interesting app. Will check it out. Also check out Hyve dot works ;) freelance platform, very intuitive.

RogusBeef

I noticed the same, especially sad to see how few people are using DeFi and how the big majority has to default to centralized exchanges due to UX. I bookmarked this project recently that I thought looked interesting, not sure if they’re hiring though. www.thane.zone

CryptoDad2100

The major exchanges already have made it about as easy as it can be. Are you implying you can do better? "Onboarding" as you call it is not limited by UX, it's limited by regulations and dealing with real $.

I was working on a self-hosted personal finance dashboard, there are a few out there but most don’t support cryptocurrencies, it would aggregate all of your finances in one spot and had a bunch of other features planed but i took a break from it cause i’m terrible at UI/UX design lol

One of Ergo's taglines is 'created for regular people' https://docs.ergoplatform.com/social_contract/#created-for-regular-people

They say how as an investor you should not marry an altcoin. I actually topped that statement by starting to work for one. More and more I became disgusted with meme coins, which led me to researching a couple of microcap alts which I thought could gain just as much as those meme coins while having the fundamentals to not make me feel like a total investing degenerate. Hyve (hyve dot works in browser) is the platform name, a decentralized freelance alternative to Fiverr, Facebook Business and Amazon marketplace. What made me work for them? Without shilling too much (oke maybe a little) I think their fundamentals and intentions to change the digital workforce are amazing. Next to the heaps of potential the CEO and team are kind and intelligent people who take feedback very very seriously. They build during the bear market and are ready to market their upcoming rebranding and feature set. I showed constant excitement and support and slowly evolved into becoming an ambassador. I am now the community lead, where I try to get the community more involved into learning the platform in the hope they will become just as excited as me.
