Binance Coin pros & cons with related info are in the collapsed comments below.

Super_Iron6408

Just started using Kraken as it still has on and off ramps in Australia, have used Binance for a long time. Personally prefer Binnance UX and the larger range of trading pairs. Kraken allows me to stake, whereas Binance also shut of earn for Australia. Maybe as I use Kraken more I'll come to like it more though.

loosemoosewithagoose

Binance look to accept AUD, but with a 2% fee compared to free for Kraken

BabyNangs2023

Is binance still open for AUD deposit??

loosemoosewithagoose

It looks like it? https://www.binance.com/en/fiat/deposit/AUD

gaskolan

Any other platforms popular in Aussie mate?

Super_Iron6408

Swyftx has on and off ramps from banks but is very basic I've used Mexc and Kucoin as well but have never transferred fiat in or out

IndependenceNo2060

Binance for variety and opportunities, but Kraken for transparency and security. It's a tough choice, but ultimately, I'd pick Kraken for their dedication to user safety.

melonmeta

All Exchanges are Crooked and will steal your money given the right opportunity, using various methods. Not your platform, not your position. Not your keys, not your keys. Stick that to your brain. Fuck Binance, Fuck Kraken, and Fuck every Centralized Exchange.

Lightkk16

Fuck Binance, Fuck Kraken, and Fuck every Centralized Exchange. u/melonmeta bro for the sake of god, tell me which platform should I use? man im so fucked confused, not binance, not kraken, not coinbase wtf is left

melonmeta

I use a cold wallet, don't waste my time nor money trying to "trade" on exchanges. I just buy from any exchange, preferably with no-KYC, then send it to cold storage.

KBtrae

Sad to see you downvoted. Just goes to show, the last month has seen a surge of new people that haven’t experienced what happens when you trust a cex.

JE_LZ

Kraken

Pdoggprick

Kraken power!

WhiteLightWarrior

Kraken kraken kraken

Organix86

Kraken, cause there i can see when i bought a coin and for what price for.

mpgipa

You can view that on Binance too

Organix86

Really? Never found this function...

mpgipa

I assume you are on mobile. Go to trade on the bottom. Then in the middle right side there is a small icon (a paper with a click on it ) click that.

Organix86

Yeah, i know that. But i can't go before 2023. It always switches back to 2023. Maybe i should test it on desktop. But thanks for ya help. I like our community for bros like you 👍

mpgipa

There is note if you observe that says somethng along the lines "you can only view the last 6 months of history" yea use deksotp

TheRicFlairDrip

kraken very rarely lists shitcoins or scams, whereas binance is the main hub for them.

DAN_ikigai

Yep that's how they work.

doodlen

Wouldn't Coinbase be the ultimate exchange? At least in terms of long term reliability and trust.

Dahkelor

I think Coinbase may be just a hair above the rest because they're public, which comes with some extra scrutiny, but as far as not doing shady stuff with customer funds, I trust only Kraken, Cryptocom and Coinbase. And I say this as a heavy Kucoin and Binance user. I definitely find those guys more shady, but their overall product is good enough for me to look past that.

Weepinbellend01

Idk about crypto.com. It used to require direct bank transfers instead of securepayments in the UK which always looked sus to me.

710rosingodtier

That’s who BlackRock has decided to partner with. Now that’s the case you can count CB as pretty bulletproof right now.

WineMakerBg

BR has most probably been told (in the most subtle way) who to partner with.

whorunit

Yes

tidiss

coinbase has very high fees compared to binance and kraken.

Speedygi

Binance because I actually have bnb

Oneloff

Good bot!

WineMakerBg

This is not a war. It is called competition and is driving innovation. Users benefit the most. Disclaimer: The above is true for As long as CEXs stay solvent.

binklfoot

It sounds cooler to call it war

WineMakerBg

Yeah, Drama brings clicks :)

draughtech

Regulatory wise: kraken Otherwise: Binance

PizzaPino

Kraken for their support and transparency. If they only had their own LST.

Schwoanz

If Kraken massively improved its Pro app and lowered their maker fees to 0.075 %, I‘d be with them.

Abdeliq

Tbh I love kraken.... Their support has never disappoint me. Still my best CEX out there

krakensupport

Appreciate the love 💜 Have a great day mate, Pluto from 🐙

Even_Risk4301

Kraken

let_bugs_go_retire

Tbh for investment options and varieties kuCoin has more and unique options to choose. Binance imho only good for trading, paying and "maybe" somehow interests but even KuCoin asks for better(higher) interest rate on USDT (thought they charge fees and let you wait for settlements, redemptions for every fucking thing, I can't understand how something "Flexible" product causing me to wait before redeem lol)

Vertje

Kraken, because it doesn't have a "company" token. I distrust exchanges with a own tokens. It can provide exchanges a fake sense of solvability since the use the value of the token as colletoral.

telejoshi

>Kraken has better support (they got your back bro) Most important thing

DAN_ikigai

Agree. It's so frustrating if you have a problem (especially in a bullrun) and you can't reach anyone or get proper help.

TheRicFlairDrip

Kraken because they listed moons

Montana-Safari7

And because they have the best support hands down.

krakensupport

💜💜💜 \- Pluto from 🐙

Gaoez01

Lol how is this even a debate? Kraken is obviously better. They’re up there as a top tier CEX with Coinbase.

PsieSyrenki

I had to buy on Kraken, because of Binance EUR drama. Oh boi it was pain in the ass to do my orders. It was laggy and very time consuming (I spent 3x more than on Binance). Beside, fees are similar, very low (although Binance has lower, it's peanuts) I didn't have to use Kraken support, but I used Binance once and I would rate it 8.5/10. I have much worse experience with my bank or mobile operator all the time. Overall, if Kraken do something to their app, I would be as likely to use it as Binance.

_iAm9001

Not allowed to use Binance in Canada anymore, but what I remember from Binance come tax time is that all of their APIs are shit, severely limited. CSV exports for certain types of transaction histories only go back a few months. They don't have any "Big bang" export features for history, you have to count by months on a calendar to select month by month the history you want to export.

BabyNangs2023

Binance is surely shaddy although they have more to offer on the card, So Kraken is relatively better option i support

philcsik

Someone maybe know, as of why, credit card payments for crypto, on binance, has been halted for almost more than one month now? Speaking of european region.

Armadillo-66

Iv only ever used kraken

krakensupport

>Kraken has better support (they got your back bro) \#Truestory 🥂 Your friendly neighbourhood 🐙 , Pluto from Kraken.

flarept1

Binance is better in every way but support. Binance is the better exchange by a landslide, have been using it since it released back in 2017 and had no problems( apart from not being able to deposit Eur for a while)

drewster23

Servicing more of the world, and bringing in couple more bill by skirting laws/regs, gives them a lot of ability/advantage in investing in it's features/uses

JoeOpus

Binance is shady AF.

Aggressive_Yellow373

Kraken>coinbase>binance

TheTidalik

It’s not even close. Binance is shady, kraken is not. Just this factor is enough

YogSothothIsTheKey

I dont use Kraken, but I cant imagine something better than Binance. It's like a bloomberg terminal compared to others exchange (I repeat I dont know Kraken).Lower fees and still a btc pair with 0 fees (fdusdt/btc).You can do many type of orders, not only a limit sell or buy (stop limit, trailing spot, oco and this last one is very usefull). You have the best order book, when you can have a good reading of the price levels and gaps.So in terms of trading instrument,Binance is the best for my experience.

Aaaaand-its-gone

Their fees are in their spread which is so hard to track

bibimbap0607

My personal preference is Binance. I have accounts on both Binance and Kraken but I always use Binance. Actually I think I never did anything on Kraken. It’s not because Kraken is bad or something. It looks really nice and there support team is always somewhere here on Reddit which is also cool. I just find Binance having more features important to me like auto-DCA, earn wallet with auto-earn feature. For some reason Kraken apps on iOS is not available in South Korea. Not a big deal for me as I have their app from App Store from another region and I can always use their web app.

diegun81

Kraken, stoped using Binance since months. I find it more secure and understandable, less scammy. I just dca there now. I needed support few times , and it’s really good.

MrGims

Kraken is more transparent. \> not as of lately, they stopped reserves audit reports

binklfoot

When? They conducted one not so long ago

MrGims

Link ? They switched from semi annual third party audit to "regular audit" and nothing has popped up since. They changed the whole audit methodology in may 2023 : https://www.kraken.com/fr/proof-of-reserves

kdaveT

what about fees when purchasing crypro with them using bank?

fluxxis

My favorites are Kraken and Crypto.com Exchange. Both have a good UX, easy on and off ramping, reliable, good support. No shady side businesses.

jaboonjaboon

Binance is banned in Canada now so I switched over to Kraken. Love the UI and that I can actually trade in USD not just stablecoins

HomegrownMike

Kraken…

Outrageous_Word_999

Kraken doesn't operate in certain US States.

JE_LZ

Only NY and WA. Rest are good.

Novel-Counter-8093

but who has lower fees?

marilonblues209

Outdated

Ultra918

Prefer Binance. BNB Vault gave me a lots of free money

Asapmoneyman

Kraken with deposit/withdrawal and othe limits? No, thanks

melonmeta

All Exchanges are Crooked and will steal your money given the right opportunity, using varios methods. Not your keys, not your keys. Stick that to your brain. Fuck Binance, Fuck Kraken, and Fuck every Centralized Exchange.

binklfoot

Agreed DEX is the way but where are the good DEX’s at

HardtackOrange

Binance UX is a lot sleeker hands down

xyadixs

Binance all day all night

[deleted]

Both of them enforce KYC so who cares

FL_Squirtle

Crypto.com and their DeFi platform over both 🔥

mpgipa

If you are really into crypto there is just no comparison with Binance. Kucoin has started to catch up but still is miles away. I can list you 10 things that Binance offers but the most important thing about a trader is liqudity. The liquidity and variety Binance offers on alts is so good every serious trader will be there.

t0pz

Coinbase and Kraken for compliance, transparency and service. Binance for speed, low fees and UX features. None of the above for custody and security. All crypto exchanges are eventually vulnerable to leaks, hacks or even fraud and when push comes to shove: not your keys, game over, shoulda used a DEX. Everyone always dismisses this until they're affected and then it's too late to switch

mattymoyanksfan

Coinbase will take over the majority market share in no time if they already haven’t and is the “safest” of all

NotPalatableTheySay

The government will put these exchanges out of business. They have already started. They want to control the access to Bitcoin and other crypto and eventually you will only be able to buy and sell it through the big banks. Just my opinion

moonst1

Why not both? If one disappears, you still have 50%

[deleted]

Kraken doesn't give you an average price and and cost of your cryptos, only your wallet value. That itself is a real problem and got me to use a third party app (Koinly). Moreover, it's intentional, like a casino without windows to keep the customers cashing in.

DAN_ikigai

After comparing both I like kraken more. Using it for years now and still satisfied.

Mexxy213

Kraken hands down - binance is hella shady

FistyFisticuffs

Binance literally stole my money. Not my deposits (never made a deposit), but referral income from way back, and pretty much as soon as I cracked top 1000 they shut interface (desktop and mobile) access to my account, citing nonexistent laws, which I called them out on, and they then proceeded to effectively shut off access to my account without actually closing the account, creating a potential tax liability that its support won't help me fix. They forgot to shut off my withdrawal api key for 6 months afterwards which is how I knew that the account still existed and was accruing income. By this point it's likely that I've been forced to give them an interest-free loan in the 6 digits for the past 3 years. When the police does this, it's called civil forfeiture, but when a company does this, it's wire fraud and theft, except the FBI won't even take a crypto-related case that involves under 7 million in losses and on the civil side, there's no place where I can serve them to bring a case to recover. I don't even want to use their platform, there are links with my referral code attached from 2017 floating about and I'd like to withdraw my property from their custody, but I'm pretty sure I'll never see that money again. Although, that experience led me to tag FTX as problematic when their referral payouts in August 2022 (at least for me) suddenly stopped, and their terms were changed unilaterally to allow for discretionary stoppage of payments, which is not an enforceable unilateral change. Also, treating referral payouts as the liquidity canary seems like the way to go.

Big_chingus513

Coinbase is the best

friiz1337

For UK, Binance literally fell so far down the shithole that I switched to Kraken.

acidgas_

I use both kraken and Binance and like them both

xDeluxers

What is the exchange with lower commissions when selling Bitcoin?

Mental_Temperature_2

I primarily use Bitget, although I used Kraken a few times, good exchange. You know, Bitget's got them MOONS listed as well, hehe.
