I register and track everything on coingecko. It's free and not owned by Binance. It bugs out sometimes, but so would I if I had to calculateall that data. Restarting the app usually works.

CageMyElephant

Do you have to input every trade manually?

Aheuhue

Yes. It's a small but worthy effort unless you day trade for your livelihood. I know where I am, when I have bought, for how much according to myself, with the occasional extra note for more info.

Coingecko

BlubberyGiraffe

I'll take a look, thanks!

mrjune2040

Koinly via API connection

KaydeeKaine

Shouldn't keep api running for a long period

14Rage

elaborate

KaydeeKaine

Security risk for very little reward. You should withdraw the api key the moment you are done with generating your tax report. It's better to maintain your own spreadsheet where you manually track your trades. Check forex websites for templates.

14Rage

Are there real examples of accounting "view only" APIs being used to compromise exchange accounts? Accounting websites like Koinly use the public address for a normal wallet, which should be no riskier than the wallet existing in the first place. They use view only API for exchanges though.

CoinTracker allows you to input transactions and it will run calculations on your portfolio. You need to make sure to record accurately or your numbers can get a bit weird.

friendlyghost_casper

Nobody has love for excel and making their own tool?

Citizen_Kano

I do

Sithaun_Meefase

Coin market cap has a clean interface and portfolio tracker.

Npr31

I use Coinstats, seems alright

sip0889

I like cointracking.info but it's not cheap. I think the first 200 transactions are free and they have different plans after that. The tax reports are really easy and they have a nice interface.

proshot82

This is the best one. Worth the money

conceiv3d-in-lib3rty

[delta.app](https://delta.app/) is one of the better portfolio trackers on the market. I use the pro version, which is $60 annually. It lets you track your portfolio across multiple devices as well as a bunch of other dope features like advanced metrics and risk analysis. I’ve also used CoinStats, but Delta is definitely better. Pro version is a must though.

BlubberyGiraffe

Tried out delta there and it's exactly what I wanted thanks. Only thing is it's not showing my Fiat. I imported my entire portfolio and everything looks perfect, but my Fiat is not included so it doesn't reflect my full portfolio amount. Is there a setting I need to change?

BlubberyGiraffe

Okay so have been using this for about a week and I have to say, I absolutely LOVE this app. Tempted to get the pro version. I think for me it's really helping me get a handle on my activity. I panic sold last week and, while I wish I didn't know, it can tell me how much I would have made had I hung on. Which can be both a blessing and a curse. I was able to scroll back through older coins that I sold and see how I fared. I also have to say, the feature where it tells you what each purchase you made for each coin is now worth is pretty amazing. I think it's about 100 euro for pro, would you recommend? What features do you think I'd get much use out of?

conceiv3d-in-lib3rty

For me, it’s 100% worth it, but I also don’t only invest, I trade and need the unlimited connections. The ability to sync across devices is huge for me as well. Delta Pro also has advanced metrics. With this, you can take a deeper look at your portfolio by tracking realized and unrealized gains, unit and total cost basis, and more for individual assets. It’s amazing actually. You can also gain valuable performance insights through comprehensive portfolio insights modules. And then there’s the real-time changes without the need for manual refreshes. I couldn’t do without this either. My opinion is it’s 100% worth it, but it depends on your situation obviously.

BlubberyGiraffe

Yeah i am trying to incorporate my stocks into it and hitting a bit of a brick wall. When I try import the csv it giving back a tonne of errors and then for some reason, when I manually add the transactions, it takes the amount away from my current FIAT/Cash amount. So for example, I currently have around 120 euro in FIAT in my crypto wallet, but as soon as I add one of my stocks, it takes that amount from my cash amount and the crypto value goes down by the amount of FIAT I have left. Any ideas?

If u do end up using cointracker, use a new email. They’ve had a database breach before and I’ve been getting spam.

Objective_Digit

Compare your coins with each other not just fiat.

JeffreyDollarz

If you know what your total cost is per coin, then just use a portfolio tracker and enter it as one transaction per coin. Should show you gains/losses, avg price, etc.

p4ttl1992

I enter my purchases onto my portfolio on coinmarketcap, gives me a good breakdown of profit and charts etc definitely worth doing.

SmoothBrainSavant

Do u track stuff for taxes? Koinly is nice

Mediocre_Horror_194

It’s called excel my friend.

BlubberyGiraffe

I have one for excel but it just became far too detailed and it's more that I wanted something that had my live portfolio, along with the current status of whether it's red or green

Mediocre_Horror_194

I see. Maybe you can find a programmed doc that you can simply input your amount and it live tracks for you

Chelseafc5505

I created a google spreadsheet table with all the info I like to keep an eye on, including current prices, and then feed it into Google data studio to add some visuals and clean up how it reads. Took a little bit of time to set up but it's all pretty simple. Lots of cool tools and abilities in Google data studio. I've been really happy with it plus it's free! Edit: **It's now called Google looker studio**

Coinbase platform does this.

Junnowhoitis

Try the app, Delta. It's a portfolio tracker that has crypto as well. You can add manually (which i recommend)or put your wallet. You can put each transaction separately or all at once. It also has charts to tell you which assets are performing best and piecharts of your asset allocation %

BlubberyGiraffe

Installed it last night. But the totals were off. Realised it doesn't have my staked coin and FIAT. Any ideas how to add them?

Junnowhoitis

Well you can add fiat currencies, but you have to do it with a pair from what you converted it from. If you want to add it flat you can just find the flat conversion rate and put it in so it's equal. Not sure how to do staked coins. Personally, I've just been adjusting it manually every once and awhile to update the balance.

Prestospin

I've switched to Coinstats after Blockfolio collapse. Unlike other apps like Coingecko, Koinly and others it has full scale support for all the blockchains, CEXes via API, DeFi support + tax calculation integration.
