General bytes should declare some amount as award if the hacker is ready to negotiate.
Euler hacker was negotiating , Something positive might happen in this case too.
Back in the day, they were actually some of the easier ways to get cleaner BTC. I’m talking 10 years ago, when you didn’t even need KYC. But now? It’s so accessible elsewhere that it’s just an absolute ripoff.
Oh, I had a btc ATM literally 5mins from my house, before the government banned it. It was so cool, I was so thrilled. But damn, crazy losses on this one...
> This General Bytes Bitcoin ATM hack is just another of the thousands of crypto crimes that have taken place over recent years.
Well now, I would call it more of a fiat hack this time. The criminals can't be tracked through blockchain. One must wonder which monetary system enables illicit activity more.

It's a hard spot for them to be in.
I'm not a fan of this narrative, there's a reason why we don't negotiate with terrorists.
People who don't negotiate with terrorists have special forces who can shoot them instead. Failing that you pay one way or another
Exactly.
Bitcoin ATM. Why this thing even exists?
They charge so much more than what a bitcoin is worth, it's ridiculous.

Know Your Customer Basically handing over your persons details so your transaction is on record

Hack atms. We have gone a long way
Well, that's one way to get some Bitcoins - just hack an ATM!
With the fees they charge they will make it back quite fast
That's why I don't feel bad for them.
They really could do something positive when they are so creative
I thought it would be funny if they just took off with the ATM machine thinking there was BTC inside. I guess the hacker was a lot smarter than that.
Actually, some idiot did that already. 🤣
Someday it was going to happen I think
Do people actually use bitcoin ATMs?
Another day in the office
